My buddy and I did a 3-day backpacking trip across the Towada-Hachimantai National Park and we took a trail across a barren mountainside through a bunch of steam vents. Our eyes stung bad and we felt a little ill after. I'm wondering if we walked through that same crap.

However, it is expected to take approximately two weeks to construct a pipeline that will redirect the accumulated water to a well about 1 kilometer away.
