Police in Kumagaya, Saitama Prefecture, said Sunday they have arrested a 54-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of killing his 81-year-old father at their home.
According to police, Taisaku Sato has admitted to stabbing his father several times in the stomach at around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Kyodo News reported. Sato called 110 and said he had stabbed his father after they had a heated argument.
The victim was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Sato lived with his older sister and his father. His sister was out at the time of the incident, police said.
Police said they are questioning Sato on what he and his father were arguing about.

This argument with knife news seems to happen on a daily basis more and more as time goes by. Until Japan admits that the have a problem and until Japan quits comparing itself to other countries as it pertains to crime stating that Japan is the safest county on Earth, this incident will be headline news on a daily basis.
Let's hope eyes will open soon.

Take a deep breath, count to 10, and go for a one hour walk.

Can you be more specific on exactly which problem? Because there's alcohol, gambling, discrimination, lack of offenders' lists, age of concent, age someone is concidered a child in a criminal case, the list can go on.

Wow. Can’t go a day in this country anymore without hearing news about someone attempting (and usually succeeding with) the murder of a family member. And usually the victim is a family member who is weaker than and/or dependent on their assailant. Despicable. I hope the father rests in peace.

We're reading the "crime" section of the newspaper. In a county of 125 million, are you really that surprised that you're reading a story like this everyday ?
By your rule, that means it's only happening 365 times a year.
