Many survivors of the atomic bombing had lifelong health problems even if they lived to 85. I have one very close friend who is a survivor from Nagasaki and in his 80s and still working at his company but he also had health issues.

Another person from Hiroshima also now in her 80s was badly burned from the bombing and needed lifelong treatment.

That is different than your previous comment. You believe the atomic bomb victims should not have received financial aid even as well as the health issues they were discriminated against for many reasons.

The Tokyo firebombing victims survived a horrendous experience. Do you think they should have received aid? They were not discriminated against like the atomic bombing victims.

Not really. No government is going to value foreign civilians more highly than their own soldiers, especially pre-Fourth Geneva Convention. The US was going to take the option that didn't result in half million US dead.
