Unfortunately the odds are slim to none for a favorable outcome.

It took a long time for JT to publish this story. This diving tourist operation is just too risky and dangerous. $250,000 for an 11-day trip on the ship. Hope remains but it's a short window.

One would expect the first safety feature (one of Six ) would be a retrieval line linked to the vessel???? Maybe 4km of line is to heavy ??? You are heading to the bottom after all.

The sea takes no prisoners.

If someone falls overboard from a ship most of the time they are wearing a life preserver. A good chance of survival.

If something happens in a submersible especially at that depth, I'd say no chance.

The initial group of tourists was funding the expedition by spending anywhere from $100,000 to $150,000 apiece.

You couldn't pay me that amount to climb in a little tin can and go 4km beneath the waves.

And now we see why.

You don't say no chance. There is no chance.

unfortunately they have only 2 options, being crushed like grapes by the weight of water pressure, or running out of oxygen.

Sadly, they're probably already long gone....

What a way to go. Awful.

Saw this news.

If they lost power and had to wait out their oxygen ..four days? 'Shivers' That would be a torturous way to go, imagine recording your last thoughts in that scenario. If they had a hull integrity failure, well that would be preferable. Instantaneous and merciful in comparison. Either way if they aren't recovered they will have plenty of company down there in the afterlife.

A British group offered their dive sub which can go to the depth of the Titanic but was refused by the American authorities.

There is also the possibility the sub imploded.

This is a fabrication.

Firstly, the area is in international waters.

Secondly, the link you offered didn't even mention such a scenario.

The rescue is being coordinated by the US/Canada.
