Blatant lies a week after Putin pulled out of the grain deal leaving African nations to beg to Russia for help. You won't hear complaints from African nations because they are reliant on handouts from Putin. But make no mistake, Putin is absolutely shooting himself in the foot here.
Thuban
The fact that these African countries openly defied NATO and Zelensky and travelled to Moscow to meet Putin says a lot.
The Global South doesn't seem to be buying the narrative coming out of the corporate media in the west.
Haaa Nemui
Did NATO or Zelenskyy make a request for them not to?

in what way?

The liberation of the Ukraine is continuing. Last night (Japan time) Russian forces crossed the administrative border between Lugansk and Kharkov while in the south a large column of fascist armor, 21 tanks, 10 infantry fighting vehicles and 1 combat vehicle, was detected and wiped out.

“The number of heads of state attending shrank from 43 then to 17 now “
More of them are buying that narrative than your boy’s.
A dismal summit in a dismal country.

It is indeed. Multiple breakthroughs in the south and east.
Fascist armor? Lol the fascists are the ones doing the invading. Who do the pro-invasion folks think they're fooling?

The British, French, Germans, Dutch, Spanish, and many more have all been involved in the oppression and colonization of the African continent. Some are already finding out the realities of what making deals with the Chinese means. It seems history is not the teacher the African nations want to listen to.
Mr Kipling
From the start of the conflict this has been the case. Though the pro Ukrainian propaganda press won't be reporting this.
Mr Kipling
Ukraine was using the grain deal to launch sea drones. They ended the deal.

Putin/Russia does not have enough grain to feed Africa.
ClippetyClop
About 40% of those that came last time. A paltry 17.
Biden got 50 at his December summit.
The leaders of Africa don’t see their future with Russia, although ‘some’ are maybe happy to rinse Putin for cheap food & fuel for a while.
They know that Putin betrayed them on the grain deal and will betray them again.

Putin intended to end the grain deal regardless of the events.

The Wagner Group has been running several African countries' dictatorships. Thousands of refugees had to flee.

Africa: Please allow Ukraine to ship wheat to our hungry masses.

Maize is what African countries need the most.

Of course, those African states are acutely aware of what so many in the White Bloc aren't, which is that the bulk of the exports from the Kyiv regime under the deal DIDN'T go to the African countries for whom they are 'vital', they went to the European countries backing the Kyiv regime's war on the agricultural heartland of Donbass, and the Russian fertilizer that the deal was supposed to get shipped to the farmers in those European countries still was blocked by the backers of the Kyiv regime.

Has more than enough to make up for the Ukrainian grain the fascists will no longer be able to export. When all the Ukraine is liberated, the state should mandate new crops be grown. Grain can be and is grown in Siberia. Use the fabled black earth for more fragile crops.

It’s the second Russia-Africa summit since 2019. The number of heads of state attending shrank from 43 then to 17.

As of July 2023, almost 33 million tonnes of grain and other foodstuffs had been exported via the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
Over 50% of the cargo was maize, the grain most affected by blockages in Ukrainian granaries at the beginning of the war. It had to be moved quickly to make space for wheat from the summer harvest.
The EU is a major global producer and exporter of wheat. It is estimated that the EU exported 31 million tonnes of wheat in the marketing year 2022/23. Destination countries include Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Pakistan and Nigeria.

Actually, anyone willing to check will notice that no suck breakthrough has happened.
Ukraine has barely moved is weeks, not even reached the first line of defense on any of their fronts.
However it is now a confirmed fact Russia has advanced in the north crossed the border of Lugansk and Kharkov taking several towns even Pro Ukrane Deep state ua. has confirmed this fact.
I don't understand why people Kling to their "beliefs" over the facts.
When Deep state ua and Suriyakmaps are both saying the same thing, they are rarely incorrect.

17 heads of state from a different continent? Pretty impressive power! USA could only get 1 (Columbia) from all of South and Central America.
Fighto!
Fascist dictator meets tinpot dictator.
You can be sure plenty of money is being promised by mini-me.

Putin just begging the Africans for weapons that work...just like he does with the Chinese and Iranians...
Informative that they all come to Russia versus Putin going to them...guess he's afraid Prigozhin (or another crony) may move in to his office while he's gone...
TaiwanIsNotChina
I bet none of the leaders have the guts to say openly that Ukraine should surrender.

Putin is afraid to leave Russia because of the international arrest warrant issued by the ICC for the abduction of 700,000 Ukrainian children.

Do you think the West will let Putin control the Black Sea and Ukraine's ability to sell grain? No. They won't. So this means that support for Ukraine will continue as long as the war continues.

Mr Kipling
That's a completely political move to stop African nations from complaining. Putin is going to be offering free grain to some, and he's going to be selling to others.

"Do you think the West will let Putin control the Black Sea and Ukraine's ability to sell grain? No. They won't. So this means that support for Ukraine will continue as long as the war continues."
Indeed, EU has already indicated it will allow Ukranian grain to be transported by rail so no issue.......
"The European Union’s Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski said the bloc is ready to export almost all of Ukraine’s agriculture goods via “solidarity lanes”. Transporting grain through the EU is sensitive for Poland and some other Eastern European countries due to resistance from farmers."

Free grain to some, selling to others - well, exactly the same as what the rest of the world is and has been doing for a long time, no issue.

You don't understand. The amount of grain that Ukraine can sell will determine the global price. If they can't ship by sea, prices will be raised by 20% and African nations will struggle.
Putin can't be in control of the Black Sea. Period.

My advice (I know I got little to no saying in this) to those African leader:
Be aware of what you're getting yourself into!
PUTAin won't give you any freebees!
He will make you return double and even more!
In addition, the grain PUTAin ships to Africa is probably the looted grain from Ukraine!
And always remember: Russia is a terrorist state!
Ukraine prevails!

long story short.
russian influence in Africa is more stronger than western mainstream media did expected.
Russia is not isolated and without any friends.
Russia-Africa grain deals is matter of days.
UA and its terrorist junta regime are doomed.no Black Sea gun and weaponry imports,no own EU substandard grain exports from there.no EU country wants their grain as EU countries needs to protect own farmers and EU itself can produce more grain than need, especially this summer harvests seems very promising.

btw how is UA spring offensive doing?
I have checked other sources but seems that heroi are either stucked or going back westwards?
as have less Leopards and less Bradleys and other weaponry su luggage get lighter?

I understand well enough, no worry. As already stated by the EU - *"The European Union’s Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski said the bloc is ready to export almost all of Ukraine’s agriculture goods via “solidarity lanes”. *
Therefore - the EU will assist in exporting majority of Ukranian agriculture produce ( not only grain ) by other routes and Putin has also offered an alternative deal on better terms to the African nations, it sounds like the Africans should actually struggle less .

It doesn't have the capacity to ensure the grain hits the market. Last year 60 percent of Ukraine's exports were shipped via solidarity lanes while 40 percent went via the Black Sea.
Blacklabel
arent these the leaders of the people supposedly starving to death because they cant get Ukrainian grain?
If so, seems they would be quite angry with Putin.
Yet....

And those other routes are much more expensive than the sea route. So the grain will end up costing more.

african leaders can feed own nations with russian grain easily....so there is no reason they will be angry at all.
Antonio san from UN will one who will be upsetted and will upset his bosses but its is how it is.
UA grain will be unwanted one.dont need to mention its substandard quality/see rejections from eastern EU countries because of high levels of different chemicals in it/
EU countries may have record high harvest this year and yes they wants to protect own makers/farmers and markets.sure they wants exported it as well.
africans soon will get russian grain.so....rest you figure out by yourself.

African countries that are friendly and needy will be guaranteed FREE GRAIN and/or fertilizer by Moscow.
In other words, the grain deal will not impact any African country.
And we know that under the lopsided "grain deal" the overwhelming bulk of grain went to rich, developed countries particularly in western Europe.
Not only was the deal not implemented and smelt like the Minsk Agreements, Kyiv weaponized the humanitarian corridor and then the hypocrites point the finger at others.
And Russia is a bigger exporter in the first place; if they cared about Africa they wouldn't block exports from there - hypocrites on two counts.
Blacklabel
So maybe dont go to Moscow to.....speak with Putin?

Before the Russian invasion and war, African economic intelligence firm Concerto estimates that Russian and Ukrainian imports account for 30 percent of all African wheat consumption.
https://www.statista.com/chart/27009/import-sources-of-wheat-in-africa/
32 percent of total African wheat imports come from Russia and 12 percent from Ukraine. Throughout Africa, 25 countries import more than a third of their wheat from Ukraine and Russia. May 10, 2022
