Japan only wants guest workers, and takes as much knowledge as possible.

In most normal democratic countirs, a judge (72 hours after arrest in Japan) would just throw this "case" out, and probably order an inquiry into the arrest. What will Japan's imbecile judges do - rubber stamp the police and prosecutors automatic demand for a 10 day extension of custody. A pathetic legal system with no sense of law / rule of law.

"Threatening to defame some individuals, including a celebrity".

Crime of the century (although it has not happened yet). Arrested at the airport, rather similar to another individual (no names mentioned, of course) who was treated the same way. Obviously, Rule of Law is just not fit for purpose in Japan. But we know that now, don't we!

If this doctor works in an immigration facility then she is employed by the Ministry of Justice. That says it all.

An immigration holding pen is one step up from a prison doctor. Getting competent staff is probably a fool's errand to begin with as any competent physician would most likely be employable at higher pay almost anywhere else.

No excuse. She is a doctor whose duty is to preserve life, ease suffering. Unprofessional and incompetent.

Disgraceful to loot any war grave especially when the Brits were fighting for China against Imperial Japan.

The Brits were fighting for the Republic of China (now Taiwan). Maybe that's why China (PRC) doesn't care.

The Brits were fighting Japanese aggression.

Passenger ships and other vessels traveling in international waters are required by a maritime treaty to install the technology aboard.

It would seem that China are doing things legally and properly. What is the problem with that?

They will torture him psychologically for three months.

The justice system is cruel and unusual in Japan.

The authorities in Japan (police and prosecutors) are extremely good at "gas lighting". They are desperate to get Men's Rea.

Prosecutors will stop at nothing to keep any suspect detained and isolated before trail. They like to have vegetables in court, it is far more convenient to sway Japan's imbecile, rubber stamping judges.

Looking backwards at history doesn't help with the future but lessons need to be learnt. No mention is ever made here about the reasons for the dropping of the bomb. I do agree there was no need to drop a second one. More time should have been given for the full impact of the first bomb to be analysed by the leaders in Japan.

Japan's government at that time tried to cover up the bombing of Hiroshima, Everyday thousands were being killed. It was quite obvious that Japan would not surrender ( and were getting closer to developing their own nuclear fusion) therefore a second bomb had to be dropped. Mission accomplished, the war ended days later.

Bail in Japan undermines Japan's hostage justice system. It in effect, undermines the prosecutor.. Japanese judges, the majority of whom are complete imbeciles are now in difficult position. They do not have to rubber stamp the prosecutor demands and have to think for themselves. Once again, thank you Mr.Ghosn for exposing Japan's disgrace of s legal system. An absolute hero.

I hope there is no rain and there is a full moon.

The weather forecast for Saturday in London indicates cloudy with a chance of rain. As for the moon, it will not be visible during the day, and if cloudy, not at night either.

Pretty sure all other nations had failures before moon landings, not just Japan. This is the most cutting edge tech humans have developed - things can and do go wrong. iSpace will learn from this and come back better next time.

I agree with your sentiments Fighto!. Interstella Inc. (miniature rockets) had a failure to launch a rocket, before they got it right 2 - 3 years ago.

Well, better luck next time.

$$$ is what it's all about in the system here. By paying any compensation, he is also admitting he is at fault for their deaths.

The compensation paid was probably exorbitant, and more than what a Japanese national would be expected to pay. Japan's hostage justice system likes to rip off foreigners, especially Westerners. I sometimes wonder why the USA bothers defending such a country.

@ReasonandWisdomNippon

When you say "we" I assume that you are referring to Japanese. Well, I am sorry to inform you that some Japanese do follow the rules of other countries when they are there. However, other countries treat these Japanese criminals with the same legal rights under rule of law as their own nationals. Sorry, but having observed the case of Ghosn, Japan does'nt.
