25-1? Unbelievable!

Angels are absolutely on fire. That they were able to break all records while the GOAT Ohtani was reasonably quiet means this is one hell of a team. Expect great things from them.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

You obviously know very little about baseball. Colorado is terrible, the ball flies out of that park at the higher altitude. The Angels are mediocre at best and if Ohtani wants to ever win a World Series he needs to move to another team when he becomes a free agent.

the Angels are 5-5 in their last 10 games and 6 games back of 1st place Texas in the AL West.

They are tied with Toronto for the final AL wild card slot despite one of the biggest payrolls in MLB.

But strangely enough, not for the Rockies.

Huh, funny that.

The Angels bull pen did well today (although after blowing a 6 run lead at KC last week, nothing ever seems safe).

Should looked mortal today but that's ok.

A win is a win.

True

The Rockies are a AAA team this year at least, and as recent as last week the Angels had to clarify they won't trade Ohtani as long as they are in the running for the postseason.

The Angels are a mediocre team 1 short losing streak from trading Ohtani.

Yeah to hit a Home run you can’t strike out. A bat on the ball is helpful.

Not being in the top 5 of the entire league in strikeouts would kinda help. (Colorado Rockies, 2023)

angels are mediocre for all the big name talent and payroll they have.

Every Angels starter improved their batting average with the exception of Shohei Ohtani, who went 1 for 7.

When did Japan Today did suddenly become an LA Angels rag? (I know, it's cuz of Shohei.)

I like the getting the lines on MLB games but it's always this one team's.

There are better teams over there and if they're going the nationalistic route, other good Japanese players on other teams too.

Continuing from above...

the Reds just had their 12 game winning streak snapped. They also have the most amazing rookie, Elly De La Cruz, on absolute fire.

The Tamp Bay Rays have the highest winning percentage 663 and have dominated the early months.

The Atlanta Braves are also on a tear with nine wins in the last 10.

The Angels aren't the only MLB team, JT.

Angels are #6 in payroll. They have a better record than 3 of the top 5 and a 1 game difference from the other 2. Toronto is #7. Doesn't matter though, you will find another reason to hate on them.

Maybe the Angels should've given him an early night off and get some rest and reset, since they weren't gonna need him

Pitching wins championships and the Angels don't have it. A wild card berth in the playoffs is their ceiling this year.

If Japan Times is a 'rag' for the Angels and Shohei Otani then why are all of the sports writers doing the same? Shohei is the most improbable player in Major League history. Like many people, I check the box scores every day just to see how he did. Japan Times is no more biased than The New York times or any other new site on the web. Get over it. He is the best thing that's happened to Major League baseball probably since Babe Ruth.

Branch Rickey is the best thing that ever happened to MLB.
