I can sleep soundly tonight.

What will be the nail in the coffin is if the Angel's dont make the playoffs. The Angels need to be active at the trade deadline if the want to do more than just "make" them though"!

He's put on a lot of weight. Looks extremely puffy.

No he hasn't. Have another cup of coffee and rub your eyes before you turn on the TV.

The guy is a work out machine. He is stronger, faster and more powerful than when he got to MLB.

That may be true, but he has a double chin in the hero image.

The Angels would be mad to trade out the GOAT. Keep him for as long as possible and build the squad around him. Once in a lifetime talent.

The Angles are just cursed with bad luck.

Rendon, The new Short Stop, the new Catcher (sorry the names escape me at the moment), on the IL. Walsh hasn't batted his weight since he came back. Trout has been in a rut as well.

And the bullpen..... OMG don't even get me started.

I would love to see Otani succeed in the place where he was given a chance to be a two-way mega-star, but there are only so many years of peak performance, the clock is ticking and the Angels have a LOT of holes to fill to really challenge for the World Series.

Acutely so.

What a quandry. Trade him now and get a boatload of good players or a boatload of money for Sho Time.

Or don't trade him and he'll be up for sale this winter and the Angels won't get nuttin' for him unless the have the enough moolah to be the highest bidder.

But even then, he'll prolly go to another team w/ higher playoff making potential. I'd love to see him on the Pads but they've been in a slight slump as of late.

Don't care where he ends up, as long as it's not the Trolleydodgers. Last year they spent 262 million dollars on their salaries. That is a quarter of a billion dollars. Their support for the DV7plus1s makes me like them even less. Want the best for Shohei, and it's not with the T'Dodgers.

Obviously someone doesn't watch the Angels. The bullpen is the 4th best in baseball, Rendon is back next week, SS is back around All Star break and Thaiss and Wallach are doing fantastic and batting better than most catchers in the AL. Angels also have the 3rd Wild Card spot with both the Rangers and Astros regressing at the moment. I swear people hate on the Angels and only gobble up what the media tells them because the media wants Ohtani on a different team.

Obviously YOU haven't been watching the Angels. I have. Their bullpen sucks regardless of what the numbers say. They blew a SIX RUN lead to the Royals - sadly the worst team in baseball by far. And that episode is prototypical of their performance. Lead after lead not held and that is a fact, not a theory.

Rendon is back next week and will, if past history is any indicator, go on the DL again for a different reason. I like the guy but he hasn't been a factor in any year he has been there.

I have been watching them closely and while they are getting good production from some of their players, they are not getting the kind of production that makes them a championship team.

They lack a strong, really strong starting rotation. The guy today did a fine job and then your 4th best bullpen blew it.

They lack a shutdown closer.

They are constantly battling injuries.

Their power part of the order other than Otani is hit and miss. They have the best player in MLB and they are at best a 2nd wildcard team and one bad streak from falling out of contention.

I would love it if Otani were to be successful in Anaheim, but reality says that there are too many holes to fill this year.

fix the bullpen or forget about the postseason.
