What is it with soccer teams not getting their country colours correct? That sure is Canada with their red blaze and Maple leaf. But Australia? Babie pascal green and blue striped. What would you expect from a sport that borders on screen plays and acting.

The pascal blue kit Australia wore last night is their away kit. Canada were the designated 'home team' and Australia the away team hence the kit change.

That new colour worked a treat!

Gotta smile at attempted gate-keeping with team kit colors.

Real "get off my lawn" energy.

The Matildas kit looked amazing. Love it. Love that they got through (and Nadeshiko, too!).

Well played, Matildas! To completely dominate the Olympic champs Canada, without the Aussie superstar striker and captain Sam Kerr, is a big statement. Topping their group they will - likely - avoid the Euro champions Lionesses in the Round of 16.

The Round of 16 is shaping up very nicely!

They as may well wear a rainbow outfit with Pride.

That would be cool. They should!

Good idea. They are reaching a huge worldwide audience.

I expect Japan to beat Norway, but in this series, nothing is for certain. "It ain't over 'til it's over."

Super Falcons and Matildas are doing fine. Well played Australia and Nigeria.

As a Canadian football fan, and former player and coach, I'll be one of the first to say Canada's team played dreadfully and showed absolutely no commitment to winning They actually appeared lazy. The Matildas, on the other hand, were aggressive, accurate and obviously better skilled. The final 16 will be a pleasure to watch.
