Things were said that needed to be said: "Union leaders said government measures for salary increase are insufficient and not catching up with rising prices. They criticized Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s plan to double the defense budget, which requires tax increases in coming years, and said the money should be spent on welfare and social security and improving people’s daily lives" (emphasis mine.). The doubling of the defense budget will bring neither peace nor security. Trust Article 9. It has kept Japan out of war since 1945. And Article 9 is free.

"call for better labor condition" in Japan is only for workers of handful large corporations.

Almost people who working at middle or small company are out of "better labor condition".

Meanwhile in Japan, whenever someone goes to the labor department with evidence of fraudulent employers with shady practices, best they (labor department) can do is "難しいですね" and wash their hands.
