I remember as a kid setting up camp near a field of wild mustard. During the night my allergies kicked in, and I had to be quickly removed so as to continue breathing.

Don't get me wrong, I love flowers, but I love breathing even more.

As a child in Tennessee we kept wild mustard under control by eating it. Cook it with a bit of bacon and splash on some vinegar and you have a side dish that is both nutritious and delicious. After moving to Japan I discovered the it was also good pickled.
