Nevermind just the American base. One team winning everything is predictable and turning off fans worldwide.

Get the regulations right and give the fans overtaking and some competition.

The rules were changed to combat this and are still coming into effect. Its the same as a few years with Hamilton winning all the races. Verstappen is dang good and is constantly showing it. The real action and excitement is everything running in 2-16th place each race.

The to the line racing of the Canadian GP Sunday for the mid field is the image that you like to see in races. Sadly it would take Red Bull and the Dutchman making a lot of silly mistakes to get them there too, the thing they just don’t do often

Agreed. This really has nothing to do with the American base.

The Verstappen ridiculous restart to beat Hamilton was the last time I watched an F-1 race. It was as a biased sports decision determining a champion I had ever seen, and the blatant way it happened turned me off of F-1, forever.

And Verstappen is talented, but an ass. He is never going to bring in viewers just because he has the fastest car and the best driver. Too many don't like him. If Hitler were a driver, he'd look a lot like Verstappen.

It's unfortunate, but the death of Senna had a very negative effect on the racing aspect. I lost interest during Schumacher's reign.

Except he is liked and popular. If not the most popular and entertaining, he's absolutely in the top three or give currently on the grid, and that's since 2021 to boot. But, racing isn't a popularity contest and frankly, I personally like his driving style. He's ruthless and can be expected to drive aggressively every time to ensure points and that's what I'd expect from any driver.

Formula 1 died for me when they stopped using the big V8s.

As Bernie said a couple of years ago; "Let’s get rid of these bloody silly engines they have now. The people in the grandstands aren’t interested in how super-efficient they are, how much fuel they use, how powerful they are. Max [Mosley] said the noise doesn’t matter but I think it does, always have done.”

There is an expense cap in F1 currently set at $140mil/team/yr which is supposed to level the playing field and create more parity. However, it can be difficult to monitor even with audits. One team was punished for cheating....Red Bull....but it's possible wealthy teams like Ferrari and Mercedes may be doing the same. It'll still take time for smaller teams to catch-up but one would think that Ferrari and Mercedes could do a better job of challenging Red Bull and win some races. In a sport so dependent on cutting-edge technology and ridiculous R&D, it's also difficult for F!'s governing body to determine what's technically legal or illegal from year to year.
