In the interests of public health and safety, the "medical complication" should not be censored by the corporate media.
The people have a right to know.

Or Mr. Foxx has decided it’s none of your business what he has.
Wishing him a speedy recovery!

Not media censorship, but the ethical medical practice of patient confidentiality.
So the people don't have any rights to this information unless they are in potential harm.

I wonder about the logic of being so secretive about the actual medical condition. People will assume that it must be terribly embarrassing. Ricard Gere and gerbils comes to mind.
Fighto!
Get well soon, Mr Foxx.
Toughest Pawnee
Get well Jamie. You are a great guy.
Fighto!
Next time you or your loved ones are ill and hospitalised, post all the info up here. All the details.
The public have a right to know.

It was a medical complication, that is very specific terminology.
That means it was not an attempted suicide, bicycle accident or spontaneous or recurring ailment.
A medical complication means he underwent a medical procedure and then suffered a problem as a result of that procedure.
It seems that the procedure he underwent is a hot button issue and hence the censorship, however members of his family seem to be speaking out.

He's also entitled to his personal privacy.

Perhaps you could just cut to the chase. What do you think the procedure he had was that he is absolutely obliged to share with you and the rest of the world?
Thuban
A procedure that I believe should not have been forced on anyone.

When a very fit man like that gets sick suddenly it is shocking. I assume he had a stroke and is recovering. Can’t wait to see him back in action.

That is a flawed assumption based on absolutely nothing. There is nothing indicating any kind of censorship just a patient that has every right to keep his health issues private.
Nothing also to indicate it would have any kind of importance for public health or safety.
So you want to imagine a reason, and from all the millions of reasons that could have caused a medical complication you blindly assume only this reason can be the correct one, then you want to imagine this has any kind of importance and then you imagined the obvious reason (the patient trying to keep some privacy) is not applicable but instead some kind of conspiracy to censor him.
None of those things are an argument, they are excuses for making a series of baseless assumptions just because you want to believe them.

I agree.
But he seems like a decent guy. If his complications are the result of a medical procedure, I would have expected him to make it public, to warn others. But his (and Hamlin's) silence is surprising.

You are surprised you completely baseless assumption about his health problem is not correct? the actually suprising part would be to fail to consider this completely arbitrary scenario you want to imagine "must" be true so the only explanation is that people are hiding it.
The much more likely explanation is that you were wrong.
