If you want to live longer use your car by all means, but if you prefer to have daily thrilling survival action and think you can stand the experience in train stations, on the stairs and platforms and can compete with the other knife wielding or pushing participants of the game on the platforms and inside of trains , then buy and enjoy the cheap ticket while you still can. Environment considerations shouldn’t play a role in your decision. That’s only for the official announcements or news media.
