Get the nuclear power plants back up and generating!

I have new solar system on my roof, but on inclement weather days, they are like teats on a boar.

Ms Koike loves to virtue-signal while pushing "green energy" dictates on the peasants, but here, in approving this nature-destroying project, she reveals that she's actually more interested in big corporate interests.

The solution to the worsening "Heat Island Effect" is NOT to add more concrete to the region. Rather, expand urban green areas (large parks with trees and natural pavements) and encourage planting shade-producing trees to line the streets.

That would be a truly GREEN policy.

The elephant in the room is the proposed further expansion of the Surveillance State.

Some folks are all too willing to give away freedoms (especially others' freedoms) for a little bit of "safety".

Way too much tracking already!

In addition to the risk of injury from a fall, there's also the very real possibility of an encounter with a mountain lion which are well-known to inhabit the foothills. Very tragic.

Posted in: Man arrested for killing 13 crows with pesticide claims they were noisy See in context

The crows are indeed a pest. The problem is that the government has no (or essentially no) crow mitigation program. Aside from constantly getting into the garbage bags and containers, crows also do a lot of damage to agriculture and homes. There's essentially no natural predator to keep the population in check.

Unfortunately, it's also illegal for people to kill crows.

Yin-yang. El Niño and La Niña are just part of the natural cycle(which is quite irregular). And they predate the start of the Industrial Age.

Unless the CAUSES of the declining birthrate are addressed, nothing will change other than taxpayers getting fleeced MORE.

In case no one remembers, when this MN was introduced it was to be "limited in scope", on a voluntary basis(which most people did not believe).

"But while the government may have lifted its recommendation to wear masks in March, many people have still not let them go on a daily basis. "

Sadly, and predictably, very many people were "conditioned", mentally programmed, into believing the safety spiel. And now many of those programmed people cling to their face-safety-blankets. Maybe in a few years they'll be mentally freed.

Posted in: 'Woke' fried chicken? Fast food chain at center of U.S. culture wars See in context

Cleo, thank you for taking some quotes from the Bible, although quite out of context.

Let's just examine one quote, "Love thy neighbor as yourself." That's a great quote from the Sermon on the Mount (The Beatitudes) from Matthew Ch 5. Bear in mind that in all of Jesus's preaching, he said, "REPENT, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." All of His teachings are based on the preface of repentance from sin.

In John Ch8, a woman caught in adultery(probably prostitution) is brought to Jesus by the Pharisees (to test Jesus) but rather than condemn her, he said" Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her. "

Of course none could do that (because ony He was without sin), and they all went away. When no one was there to condemn her, Jesus said," Neither do I condemn you ; go, and sin NO MORE. "

Jesus condemns the sin, not the sinners, but calls ALL to repentance.

Yes, a warm spring, but after a colder than average winter. ICYMI, there was a record-breaking 3-year La Nina (a cooling cycle) which just ended in the months following the start-up of the new solar cycle (increased solar irradiance).

Meanwhile, the winter in many places has not ended yet, and in fact much cooler than "average".
