Imagine if Syria did this to Israel?! It would be time to wipe Syria from the face of the planet BUT Israel attacks a sovereign country and all is well in the world….double standards much…..

Israel aggression once again on show for the world to see. Not a fan of Iran or Syria who could both use new leadership to replace the autocrat in Syria and the religious leaders in Iran, but they do have the right to do what they like in their own borders, including associating together.
Israel simply seems to think they are better than everyone else, or special, with international laws not applying to them, only to everyone else.
The horrors of the holocaust does not give them special rights to attack others and persecute Palestinians on a daily basis. Their actions are criminal and they need to be brought to heel at the Hague and made to pay compensation to those they have harmed and continue to harm.
Time to put sanctions on Israel and begin to ban exports to Israel. The deaths they cause every year are avoidable and disgusting and should come with a heavy price for Israel.

Yes well we all know why none of that is likely to happen...

Perhaps it would be more accurate if the headline were to read, "Yet again Israel's air force launches unprovoked attacks Syria ."

The only thing that is holding Israel from Occupying the rest of the Middle East and parts of Europe is man power and lack of U.S funds.
Israel operates across the middle east and southern Europe if not all of Europe with impunity and with full U.S. and British support.
Fighto!
Sickening attack by a rogue state.
Never support Israel.

It takes some real convoluted 'reasoning' to see a second brutal attack as being justified by the attempt to ward off the initial brutal attack.
Babe Ruth
The usual suspects who hate Israel and her inhabitants once again showing a comic book understanding of the incident.
They actually believe the Israeli gov't just woke up this morning and decided to attack Syrian missile sites for fun.

We are open to opinions from both sides, so please share your expert insights.

That must have been why those F-22’s were buzzing around earlier today.
Figured something was going on (“undisclosed location”).

It is not like the past. Iran has Israel boxed into a corner. Iran has armed Hezbollah to the teeth with literally tens of thousands of long range missiles and less sophisticated ballistic rockets, enough to target anyplace in Israel and do horrific damage to Israeli cities. Iran's Quds Force and IRGC operate freely inside Syrian government controlled areas of Syria. Iran also finances Hamas and provides technical assistance building rockets. If Israel takes action against Iran Hezbollah and the IRGC will open the gates of Hell on Israels northern frontier and from Gaza.
In 2006 Israel invaded southern Lebanon, Hezbollah's stronghold, trying to destroy their missile stocks. They leveled towns in the manner of the Russians in Syria but never found their rockets. Hezbollah continued to pound Israeli cities throughout that war. Meanwhile Hezbollah ground forces basically defeated the Israeli Army on the ground. Since then Iran has provided Hezbollah with an order of magnitude more rockets and missiles, including missiles with sufficient range and accuracy to target anything or any place in Israel, including Dimona which the Iranians have been very clear about attacking should Israel attack Iran. As a result Israel's freedom to act is now greatly constrained.

Dear Israel...
Please be nice!!..

You clearly are not open to "opinion from both sides".
You wouldn't like my expert insights, because it involves pointing out rabid anti-Semitism at the core of the usual suspects motivation.
RichardPearce
The claims about being opposed to a racist regime being a racist act are completely understandable.
Completely wrong, but as understandable as erecting statues to Confederate Generals, banning 'Critical Race Theory', and every other effort to turn something wrong into something not wrong by finding a frame and a point of view that excludes most of the wrongness of one side to make the retaliations and responses to that wrongness seem somewhat equal. Everyone likes to be on the side of the good guys.
Babe Ruth
Not sure I'm understanding your point here.
It sounds to me any country that has suffered an attack should simply "turn the other cheek"?

Can you communicate why?
Aly Rustom
yes because Israel attacked a sovereign state which is a violation of international law
theFu
Tit for tat. Syria attacks Israel. Israel attacks back, just a bit harder with more purpose. Israel didn't start this bought ... again. They were attacked.
theFu
If Syria stopped attacking Israel and prevented Iranian weapons being used against Israel, then there wouldn't be any counter attacks.
Babe Ruth
not nearly good enough.
try again.
Aly Rustom
If it’s good enough for international law it’s good enough.

Huge fighting on the West Bank.
Israel stages a deadly large-scale raid on the Palestinian Jenin camp in the West Bank
More than 130 Palestinians have been killed this year in the West Bank, part of more than a yearlong spike in violence

theFu
So when Syria attacks Israel, that's a violation of international law too, right?
Aly Rustom
considering that Israel ILLEGALLY holds Syrian territory like the Golan Heights and the Shabaa Farms no.
Israel is the aggressor
theFu
Well, considering that Israel and Syria have technically been at war since 1948 and that in the major 3 wars all that time, Syria has lost, you'd think Syria would learn to use international courts, not violence to solve these issues?
At least Israel isn't run by someone using chemical weapons on his own people (or any others that we know about), unlike the current leader of Syria who clearly has.
Violence is failure by diplomats.
Aly Rustom
If they are technically still at war it means they haven't lost yet. And both Syria and the Palestinians have used the international courts. Check out the UN proposition 242. Voted for by the ENTIRE WORLD except for the US and Israel.
No they use it on others like the palestinians. Check out Sabra and Shatila
