Photo ops that what really matter, Japan having difficulty in really to match NATO requirement, how many soldiers that Japanese really has. Now it's getting decrease and less attractive for young people.

On that pictures, why only one who really smile.

Because Japan and Poland are good friends and the photo should reflect the  good relationship between Japan and Poland.

I am sure the Japanese taxpayers are more than willing to pay for the trip since it advances Japan's interests.

The point of this visit is to provide assurance to Poland that will soon be dragged into war with Russia as Ukrainians human reserves are running low.
