Too much of westernization from food to lifestyle. Japanese are on the path to American obese life!

Posted in: Japan opposition leader vows aid for Taiwan in boosting deterrence See in context

Taiwan is just begging China to invade it! When it does happens eventually, the US and its cronies Japan will just sit back and avoid any direct conflict with China except put baseless sanctions which won’t hurt the Chinese Governments but in fact hurt the ordinary people in The US and Japan who will see price for everything rise dramatically! For many many years China had never showed any intentions of invading Taiwan since almost all countries had abided by the “ one China Policy “ ( the US still says it abides by that but their actions are the opposite )! But the constant meddling of the US and Japan in Taiwan is backing China into a corner and this will be the downfall of Taiwan! But hopefully in 2024 The Republicans will win the presidency and the new administration will almost definitely change its approach towards Taiwan and this will calm the situation between China and Taiwan!

It seems that the writer of this article has done their best to make the store Clerk look like innocent despite the fact that he assaulted a person! In many sentences you can read how the writer tries to give excuses for the store Clerk despicable actions! The store Clerk was at fault in this situation from the very beginning to the end! The customer had already told him that he didn’t want the receipt but despite this the store Clerk forced the receipt on him! Convenience store customer services are really getting bad in Japan! I hope this violent person gets a real prison sentence instead of the crappy suspended one!

Posted in: Fugitive ex-auto tycoon Ghosn sues Nissan for irreparable damage See in context

It’s just sad that Nissan lost all dignity and trust of many people through this whole Ghosn scandal which could have been very easily avoided. It’s common knowledge that some senior Nissan executives wanted Ghosn out of the company so they masterminded the whole scandal with Japanese prosecutors. They shouldn’t have done all this collusion. Just should have had a board members meeting and removed Ghosn or just asked him to step aside. At that point in time Ghosn had so many job offers even from GM motors which had offered him double the salary he was receiving at Nissan but he loved Nissan and didn’t take the offer. Had the board members just removed him through proper channels then this whole situation could have been avoided!

Every Japanese that I know don’t want this water to be released into the sea! The fishermen and the fisheries sector will suffer and even collapse after this release. And yet some idiot foreigners commenting here support the release of the radioactive water into the sea thinking they are supporting Japan in some way! These foolish brainless foreigners should think before commenting because you think you are supporting Japan but in reality you are destroying Japanese people’s future!

Amazing!!..

Tokyo keep growing as one of the best cities to live in the world..

GO TOKYO!!.. Coolest and frikiest city of the world!!..

Clearly this person hasn’t travelled much globally or even in Japan! Tokyo is the most overrated city in the world! Overpriced, nothing spectacular, copied architecture from other area, overcrowded to the max, impossible to get a decent restaurant reservation on any given Friday, Saturday or even Sunday, lack of 24 hours supermarket, long long lines everywhere, can’t get seats even at Starbucks, trains packed like sardine cans, apartment sizes are super small and super overpriced and the biggest problem is it’s disaster prone with earthquakes and the inevitable Mount Fuji eruption which will send 2 inches of black ash to Tokyo according to Japan Metrology Agency. There are much more beautiful cities in Japan which are a thousand times better than Tokyo!

They keep asking households to do power saving while the business sector and shopping malls keep wasting power!!! So many escalators, elevators and unnecessary lightings being used in businesses and malls… if they just shut down a few of these ( not all, even shutting down 10% of these is adequate ) so much power will be saved!!!

If any other country had said they’ll be doing this then The US and its cronies would have strongly opposed that country and put multiple sanctions on them or even invaded that country to stop it! But since it’s Japan doing it, The US and its cronies turn a blind eye while the sea is being destroyed! Don’t make the sea angry by dumping your waste in it or you’ll end up with another 3/11 Tsunami!

Wages are rising in Japan more than they have in decades

Where they get this information from since it’s almost entirely untrue! Every person that I’ve talked to around me have said that their wages hasn’t increased even by 1 yen! It’s probably the executives who keep increasing their wages, bonuses and add on benefits, while the rest of the usual workers keep suffering hardship!

Posted in: 1 woman, 2 policemen dead in stabbing, shooting in Nagano Prefecture See in context

2 policemen dead? Why? they were not educated to deal with an armed criminal? what a shame!

Thats because the police in Japan don’t draw their guns at the first sign of trouble. They are trained in that way. First they try to talk to the perpetrator to calm them down and use their gun only as a final resort. It also has to do a lot with most police in Japan probably not being straight shooters and they worry about firing in public area as the wayward bullet might hit a bystander. In this instance the perpetrator probably surprised them and shot before they could get their weapons out to defend themselves or react in any other way like taking shelter behind the car or something. Probably the whole police training system needs updating after crimes like these.

What a horrifying story. Lock this guy up for life.

What a waste of taxpayers money that would be! People like this murderer should face the old traditional law which was practice in muslim ( Islamic ) countries before where a killer would get the death sentence and the death would be the same way as he killed another ( in this case being beaten on the face )! It’s a shame that human rights activist are always up in arms when a death sentence is given to a killer but it’s such hypocrisy. They don’t fight for the rights ( value of life ) of the victim who was killed by the murderer! Some evil people just deserve the death penalty…no exceptions!!!

Would be nice to know more to the story, what the fight was about etc

Knowing the reason for the fight simply does not matter because it will never justify the killing of a person! From your comment it seems that you are trying to say that if the reason is known then maybe the killing is ok!!!

Posted in: Four minors detained after Rolex store heist in Tokyo's Ginza district See in context

@Jeff…

Someone video recorded them on their phone as they were running out the shop on a busy Ginza street in broad daylight. Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Any crime being committed during the day will of course be recorded by bystanders as it will increase their social media views! I think all criminals know that they’ll be video recorded and that’s why they wear masks. It has nothing to do with “ not being the sharpest tool in the shed “ and more to do with the fact that they are confident enough that in Japan they’ll escape the crime scene since bystanders will not stop them ( which is a good thing because innocent life of the bystander could be lost if it got physical and these items are already insured by the shops ). Also when have these expensive shops done anything to help the general public, even entering these shops in full stylish new suit still we all get the staff eyeballing us like you can’t afford our products ! I’m a white man and I experienced this and my colored friends had worst experiences to the point that staff simply didn’t bring out the watches from the display to show them!

Still I feel that it would be tough selling those Rolex for a high enough price since the buyer won’t be able to sell it later ( no resale value ), since the serial number will be listed as stolen by the company. So if someone buys these stolen Rolex then it’s probably for keeping it forever. If those are like 10,000¥ ~ 100, 000¥ then yeah it’s worth it but if you pay more than that, then its not worth it since you’ll always have the fear of wearing a stolen watch and something that has a 0¥ value in the market ! Simply not worth the stress and dangers!

Posted in: Kishida pledges $500 mil in financial support to Africa See in context

All the cash being thrown around by the Japanese Government run by old men who are making decisions without any thought of the future since they won’t be alive. Many average Japanese live pay to pay with little to none savings and are struggling to make ends meet! Many eat only one or two meals of tiny size ( some just onigiri or rice and natto ) just to try to save up some money! It’s a shame that the average Japanese work so hard and can’t even eat a proper meal except when they are out with friends! And the Government keeps wasting their tax money!!! When the pension system collapse eventually then the Japanese will finally wake up and vote the LDP out of power!!! Unfortunately it will be too little too late by then!

Posted in: High court dismisses claim of unjust contract termination by 7-Eleven See in context

Convenience store should be open 24//7 in Japan. That’s the whole concept of it being convenient! Almost none of the supermarkets in Japan operate after 9 or 10pm and gas stations don’t have in-house shops so it’s important to keep convenience stores operational for the general public. Lack of staff is a common excuse used by companies for everything but in reality they don’t want to hire staff and pay them decent wages!

*Children can be watched at most daycares between 7:00 and 18:00. This allows parents to drop off kids before work, then pick them up on their way home in the evening.*

The person who wrote this clearly doesn’t know the reality of working in Japan especially in cities. Probably this person is living in some countryside small town where work finishes on the dot before 6 and the daycare centers are just a few seconds away, or just another childless person making comments without any knowledge! The fact is that in cities in Japan most people are never able to leave office before 6 and it takes an hour or more to commute to the day care center and pick up your child. People without children and without any experience dealing with the hardship faced by parents write idiotic comments like the one quoted above!

South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol days are numbered as most of the older generation Koreans ( who make up the most voters ) feel offended about his behavior and kindness towards the Japanese Government recently. Don’t be surprised if he ends up in prison as well as South Korea has a tendency to charge and jail even the presidents. They’ll make up some charges against him such as abuse of office or something else and throw him in prison for his super coziness towards Japan!

Why is the Japanese Government especially the PM entertaining him? There are more than 50 Governors for almost all states in the US and if they all start to come to Japan and meet the PM then all hell will break loose! Seems like the American Ambassador in Japan was too accommodating to arrange this all even though he is a Democrat and DeSantis a Republican! Trump must be fuming back home at this and when he returns as President ( highly likely it’s going to be a close race between him and Biden ) he’ll get his revenge on Japan! Trump holds grudges forever so anyone getting cozy with his Republican challengers will get the full wrath of his fury!

Instead of keeping people in detention centers and wasting taxpayers money, just send them back to their countries on the next flight!

I was was held at a detention room in Narita airport for 10 minutes when my passport didn’t scan and officials tried to verify it, while waiting I saw 4 other men being held in the same room and how rowdy, aggressive, rude and dangerous they were. They really tried to provoke some sort of physical altercation or fights with the staff and swore at the staff non stop! It’s not easy for the detention center staff whether at airport rooms or big detention centers to deal with these illegals!
