Goodwill stories are pleasant than the continuous negative USA/Nato wars around the globe.

Hope the visit goes well and enjoy the Vietnamese food.

The best part of women's football is that they do not go down like they have been shot like in men's game when even a player just touches them.

The women are tough and get up and continue playing.

Women can be in commercials. In many countries, the public have not caught on to the women's game and may not recognize the person in the ads.

Sales and Marketing is all about separating you from your money and usually use film stars or other celebrities known to public.

I rate Japan over Sweden because Japan finds ways to score.

Japanese players are more athletic than USA and will wear Sweden down.

The best USA played but not enough.

Lacking a prolific striker was the downfall.

Morgan, a Cal Bear is aging and not younger.

Other countries have progressed and will get better as time passes.

Posted in: Miyazawa scores her 5th goal of Women's World Cup as Japan beats Norway 3-1 to reach quarterfinals See in context

I did watch the game at 1.00am in USA.

Though I am a football player, I was a bit critical of how Japan played.

At times they looked very methodical in their game with passes from A-B-C-D and lots of back passes.

I would have liked to see some individual flair to break the same passes over and again.

If Sweden beat USA, they are a lot better than Norway and would require more than the single methodical passes with final cross coming from the left.

I want Japan to win and food for thought.

What was the intent to do with the cutoff head?

I made this suggestion a few weeks ago with Elon's obsession of WeChat and hence acquiring Twitter to turn it into a western WeChat.

Not that easy and could take decades if at all as WeChat is a lot more than Finacial, messaging app. Miles ahead.

Elon is clueless at what it takes to run companies like this after his takeover of Twitter.

@matt,

"I don't understand why drugs are illegal.

If they were fully legal, I still wouldn't take them.

Just like non-smokers don't suddenly smoke because they see a pack in a shop.

Can't we just let people do what they want, rather than what we tell them to? When did we all become owned slaves?"

I don't care if drugs kill drug users.

What matters to me that under the influence of drugs, strange things happen to the minds and these people can kill others if they were driving a car.

They may go insane in a house/street/apartment etc. and get a knife and could injure and kill others.

Other people's lives matter.

I don't know if to laugh or cry that something like this is happening in the 21st century.

Same time, I do not know enough about the lifestyles of 50 something Japanese men that leads them to do things like that.

Posted in: Era of mass closures: The Japanese businesses without successors See in context

It's happening everywhere, not just in Japan.

For example, a lot of Chinese restaurants are closing in USA as the children of the owners now go to universities and white-collar jobs than cooking in a restaurant.

Change happens. Even big companies that stayed still are closed.

I remember a saying when I started working, "Even if you are on the right track. keep running or you will get run over".

Posted in: What do you think of the new “X” logo to replace Twitter's famous blue bird as Elon Musk follows through with a major rebranding of the social media platform he bought for $44 billion last year? See in context

Elon for a long time has been envious of Chinese platform WeChat which is more than a messaging platform. You can buy, sell goods, mom and pop to major stores, Tavel, banking and you name whatever and WeChat does it.

I understand that he wants to change Twitter to WeChat type brand. and hence X new name. It will take many years and decades for that to happen.

It should also be a Hate crime as the assailant has a history of attacking Asian people.

Posted in: What do you think it is going to take to end the war in Ukraine? See in context

Wars are started by USA's war equipment industries.

They make a ton of money making all types of war needs and they line the pockets of the politicians.

If they find another place for USA to be confrontational and dupe another country into war, they will move on from Ukraine to the new funding (war) grounds.

Posted in: As fuel taxes plummet, U.S. states weigh charging by the mile instead of the tank See in context

Electric cars are heavier because of the batteries and cause more wear and tear on the roads. But they pay no 'gas tax' for the maintenance of the roads.

It is time for all road users to pay towards the maintenance of the roads and change the 'gas tax' to 'road usage tax'.

Bicyclists to be excluded unless they are electric.

Secondly, If a electric car catches fire, it takes many times more use of water to stop the fire. For USA states like California which has little water, nothing has been thought about the extra maintenance of the roads and extra water usage to turn out the fires for the woke polices to go electric cars in CA.
