Why once beloved?
There's more to this story than what's in the article.
First, Ai was living in Taiwan with her family when she went back to Japan and started having an affair with a guy in Tokyo while pretending to work.
She went back to Taiwan with her mom and then ditched her mom there at her husband's house to run off with this guy.
Then she agreed to come back and visit. She set up a meeting at the airport with her and Chiang's son and said she wanted to be alone with the kid. He naively believed this and she promptly boarded a flight to Japan and disappeared.
This month she lost custody of her son but has refused to give him back.
She's out of control.

Posted in: Kishida unveils plan to tackle birthrate crisis See in context
I like the creative and originality of this idea. Something needs to be done with empty homes and falling birthrate with more and more land being wasted and people being crammed in smaller areas. Giving them away for free is a bit of a concern though as I can see something like this being abused by many. Perhaps a super low rental fee for X amount of years and the house is yours might suffice? This way you can take back some of the municipal tax fees that went towards renovation costs. Also, there should be some guidelines on who can apply.
This is awesome, more rent-to-own plans like this please!

An important detail missed out of this article is that the population fall is NOT going to be equal across the country. Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, Nagoya and a couple of other major cities are going to only decrease a little or in Tokyo's case increase slightly. Tohoku is going to be a wasteland with a space population of geriatrics.
Sendai will be the hub, not sure if Morioka, Yamagata City, etc. will hold up.

Irrelevant, since anti-semites determine Jews by lineage, not by what each person believes. Listen to how they frame it - the talk about "the Jews" as a collective. Jesus was born a Jew and all of his first followers were likely Jews as well. People who seek to divide the world into themselves and "the others" will avoid this point, but it is an obvious contradiction for many.
Judaism is complicated like that, it's an ethnicity and a religion tied into one. Jesus was ethnically and religiously Jewish but he ultimately split with his faith to create a new one.

Never can get over the irony of Christians who hate Jews but follow one as their messiah. With no sense of contradiction.
The Buddha was a Hindu but not really. Same with Jesus. He severely disagreed with the direction that Judaism was going on and Judaism didn't change to match his teachings.

Yes, sure, but that’s not anymore the world we currently live in. It’s nowadays preferred everywhere what I would call a massive function overload. And while formerly those basic functions worked well, nowadays none of the basic and of the many more functions even only nearly work at all. That disaster can be observed everywhere, it’s by far not unique to IT or Microsoft software.
This; everything is feature creep and half the features never work well.
Websites weren't anywhere near as buggy and poorly made 10-15 years ago. Apps from major companies are routinely junk too.
