Posted in: NFL great Tom Brady touches down in Birmingham and meets some of the locals in a pub before match See in context
Birmingham 14/1 to get promoted.
A bit generous according to some. Maybe 50/1 closer to reality.
Sounds like a good time to get a little skin in the game on not to get promoted.

So it seems that severe droughts must have occurred in Spain before, because it would have taken years to build that stone church in the middle of a lake, only to have it covered by water later on. What was the cause of the severe droughts many centuries ago? Manmade climate change too? If not, how can we believe this time that we did it, but it was something else back then?

Posted in: Fast, cool, deadly: Miyazawa spearheads Japan World Cup charge See in context
This article is hardly a story about a "pink flower" but of an athlete. It's time to retire this outdated nickname and start to treat these women as rightful "samurai".
No flower "lifted" the people of Japan! The women's team raised people's spirits after winning the Cup. PR campaigns, courtesy of Dentsu btw, pushed the nadeshiko name and made it stick. There were plenty against it at the time.
Miyazawa is hardly a "flower" and one hell of an athlete!
Strange hill to die on.
