The writing is on the wall, its a no brainer Ohtani will be joining the Dodgers he will get possibly a 11-year deal worth $550 million. He already lives in Los Angeles during the season, he doesn't have to pack up and move to another city he has to learn. Besides his girl friends live in Southern Cal. The Dodgers is a winning team and he is good friends with Mooky Betts I have seen them two out many times while out and about. Its no secret!!!

That will all change once foreigners and Chinese move in and buy up everything. They will create their own communities, its just a matter of time. You can see the foreign population growing in Japan it is inevitable!

@Fighto I guess you lost your fighting spirit!! You lost your fighto spirit in this game it was physicality over technical skills the Swedes were just too tall and kept Japan on the defensive end. Japan played a better late second half after they tired the Swedes down. You can go join the mourners in the loss, as always a heart breaker. The fans put a lot of pressure on the athletes to succeed and when they lose they feel they let the entire country down. I feel your loss FIGHTO!

@cuddly ARE YOU SERIOUS? This shows the inability of the CCP to plan for such climatic events. They are to busy being greedy, war mongering and bullying no amount of human activity could change the CCP mind set they do as they please and we see the results. Heads in the Sand!!! Thats their motto!

This shows the need for human activity to control the effects of natural events.

@memoryfix Dead Wrong how can 144 mph equal 90 miles per hour. What kind of math are you using. I trickonometry? Or were you implying 144 kph equals 90 miles per hour and if that is the case you are still wrong. If you want to be exact 144 kilometers per hour is approximately 89.48 miles per hour without rounding out the numbers. If there was a race you both lost!! The threshold for a tropical cyclone which is also called a typhoon is when the wind speed reaches or exceeds 119 kilometers per hour that is (74 miles per hour).

You beat me to it!

Right, 144 mph equals 90 miles per hour, not 40. Stupid mistake, reporter! Learn to be more careful with important details.

Sweden had to beat a poorly managed weak American team on a shoot out. They will not beat Japan, this is the best Japanese womens team I have personally seen in a long time they are very well polished with great patience they spread the field very well and have a number of set plays. Sweden better come with a better game plan than what they showed against the US. Japan 2 Sweden 0!

China's job market is going south and a record number of Chinese nationals are being nabbed coming across the border into Texas and California. I do not appreciate poorly written music praising the thuggery and the degradation of society.

I really miss great so-called black bands writing real music and singing in great harmonies about the problems with society.

Posted in: Woman stabbed outside Osaka apartment See in context

@memoryfix A knife seems to be the weapon of choice in Japan where as in other countries like America where guns are abundant a gun is the choice. Therefore if someone was stabbed that implies there was intent because people just don't carry knives.

Why so many people carrying knives? Are more people actually carrying knives with them routinely? Wtf.

Posted in: Teenage boy stabbed after being attacked by gang of four in Tokyo See in context

@Nibek32 WHY AMERICA!! Had the kid got stabbed lets in the heart he still could have died. Regardless of the weapon used a knife or a gun a CRIME WAS COMMITTED yes he survived. You can survive a gun shot if shot in the leg!!! Your analogy is based on what could have happened and does not point to what did happen which was an ASSAULT on a kid with a DEADLY WEAPON that occurred in Japan!

They always say that gun possession is really restricted in Japan, see when they don't have gun. They'll find other way.

The rebuttal here seems so obvious: the teenager is alive with non life threatening injuries. That’s the difference.

If this was America, he would have been shot along with about 40 other people.

From the looks of the k car turned over, it appears that driver must have been going at a high rate of speed and perhaps made a turn (around a corner) and while doing so tried to correct the turn which would cause the car to swing in one direction as the driver tried to correct the turn this caused the car to turn over on its side.

@sakurasuki Your logic suggest every country should have guns instead of knives for defense. NK supposedly corrected producing a nuclear arsenal, if other countries wanted to invade they could have easily done that before they acquired them. Also they will never get that bomb off the ground it would render dead at its launching point. Loose lips sink ship!

Iraq shown to the world what will happen if a country not had it, compare that to North Korea for example. So far no troops goes beyond 38th parallel north, up to today.
