Nationalism is the "pride" off merely being born in a wealthy/prominent country, Patriotism is the humility of working hard to better your own country.

Kanto, don't be stubborn, restart the nuclear plants. Kansai people didn't get much raise in electric price and no "tight supplies", because the nuclear plants didn't get shut.

Posted in: How can teachers ascertain if students used ChatGPT to do homework or write essays? See in context
Maybe "homework" as we know it no longer works in this AI age, we should change our ways of education. No more homework, instead it's a one-on-one student-teacher interviews. It builds communication skills, soft skills, which now become more and more important, when everything else can be automated. If clothes, cars, computers, even medicine can be personalized, education is no exception.
No time you say ? Well, with AI freeing all the works, teacher should have more time now to actually teach, instead of lecturing.

Posted in: What does the expression "Go woke, go broke" mean to you? See in context
It's simply numbers. Non-woke people are still the majority, but woke people are louder, which is understandable, woke people want changes, and when your numbers are low, all you can do is be loud.
Combined buying power of non-woke still far higher than woke people, and since people dislike changes, they'll support things that are familiar to them and dislike the new. It's simply human nature, the most liberal average Americans would not enjoy watching Noh, for example.
The very definition of voting with their wallet.

Posted in: If AI is able to create movies using images of deceased actors, would you watch such films? See in context
I'd watch it, but I'm conflicted about the people who exploited those deceased actors to get profits.
Intellectual Property goes public after a while and anyone can use it, but that Greedysney company has been renewing its mice and ducks IP since forever. They make profit from Hans Anderson's story, and yet will not allow others to make profit from it's own IP.
But, if we learned anything from history, I bet that companies will be buying rights to make movies from deceased actors starting within the decade.
