Under what accomplishments does Kishida think he gonna make. Asia will never be part of NATO. He just wants publicity

Member of NATO, no but as Japan and NATO have overlapping concerns it is logical for them to talk at the highest levels and Co-ordinate their positions to international threats. The more democratic and for that matter all countries interested in maintaining the current rules based and stable international framework mesh their interests the harder it is for the imperialist and expansionist minority to disrupt it.

That’s probably a bit misleading. He visits Lithuania and then various Middle East populated countries located in Europe and on the Arabian peninsula. lol

Kishida should have just stayed on as foreign minister...spends more time and money on all matters overseas than on the myriad of issues facing Japan.

The guy like Abe wants to portray himself in a strong instance in foreign politics to compensate the extremely poor performance of himself and his hawkish party in domestic politic.

Exactly my view too. With all the work that he has been doing/published doing, he would have been a good foreign minister. Leaving the PM position to someone else, who really knows where work is required/important from that position. Perhaps, he enjoys hearing what these foreigners are always saying to him??

I hear you, BUT what good would that do? Another useless LDP lackey will just step up and take the helm. And Kishida isn't as bad as some of his predecessors like Abe, Aso, or Suga.

I see you are branching out into longer "replies". The war in Ukraine is a core interest for NATO and NATO is a core interest of the US. We do have a reputation to uphold and we can't just run away from every conflict.

Does not this prime minister like Japan? He is always going other places, and this trip to the EU and a NATO meeting is almost pointless. I suggest he spends more time taking care of matters in Japan and of its citizens than careering across the world to worry about the North Atlantic.
