Blame it on the booze. They should make all alcohol illegal to have or consume.

that will solve a lot of issues

Don't blame it on the booze. Blame it on his fists. This, like most of the fluff here, is hardly newsworthy.

...he had been drinking all morning.

I'm shocked that such a fine upstanding member of society would physically assault his wife.

He should have sobered up enough by now to tell the police he has no recollection of yesterday noon.

Why? All over the world men are beating their wives?

Why? When a child I remember my father coming upstairs with a broomstick to beat my mother. My mother who had given him eight children! Why?

Men who beat their wives should be sentenced to long prison terms and beaten daily the way they have beaten their wives.

How long was he drinking if he was arrested at noon.

What a loser.

Blame it on his ego and lack of maturity. He's a lowlife.

That's the spirit of alcohol. Toxic

Here we go again. "I was drunk and I didn't remember." Everytime I hear that one.

I've been playing video games since like 1987 or so! I played some of the most gruesome-est and violent-est games out there (Splatterhouse, Gears of War, God of war, MK (all) Hitman series and many others) but you never see me going out in public and committing a heinous crime and saying "I've been playing games all day!" The alcohol didn't put itself in his hand!

More information please? Was he provoked ?

Yes, she had the temerity to ask him to stop drinking. Or she had the gall to ask him to stop yelling at her. Or maybe she self-righteously pointed out that he was not treating her with respect.

That will give any wife beater the excuse he needs to use his fists.

Well, when you think about it, abusers don't even need an excuse, do they - beating women up is just how they roll.

This was actually the argument behind prohibition. Thankfully that was reversed real fast.
