She told police her boyfriend went to the bathroom to clean up and when he didn’t come back after 15 minutes, she went to look for him and found him unconscious the bathtub.

Taniguchi called 119. Police said the victim also had several knife wounds to the lower part of his body. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Scalded, stabbed and drowned. I think she really wanted him dead.

He had stab wounds to the lower parts of his body.

Ouch. What were they fighting about?

Now that's a triple whammy.

How long to keep the noodles in? Mushy noodles vs firm noodles.

Sooo, she just left out the part where she stabbed him?

Death by Cup Ramen... a book title at the very least. I suppose the stabbings were just garnish...

Maybe she had been abused for a long time..

Man found dead in bathtub after being scalded with hot ramen

Great writing……so, the hot ramen killed him?

and not these other two factors?

the victim also had several knife wounds to the lower part of his body.

Given frequency, seems either societal breaking point or we just never heard about such crazy stuff before?

Seemed like such Crazy was only couple times year prior to Covid, now it's EVERY day. Inflation, pandemic, geopolitical madness, economic stagnation, debt, aging, depopulation, long list and I'm missing lots of stuff!

People, please take DEEP breath, forgive and forget!

Either she's a cold-blooded murdering psychopath killing her innocent husband who didn't deserve such a fate, or she's a heroic victim who killed the psychopathic husband who has been abusing her for years who deserves exactly what he got.

A little more info would help to figure out whether she deserves our contempt or our sympathy.

I believe the knife did do the job she wanted...lack of of any journalist skill not to mention in the title to say the least.

Still, investigation needed and innocent until guilty please since he could have commited suicide. Surprisingly no confession.

Is it me or I noticed that police have much higher and fast confession expectations against men compare to women ?

And the award for most Japanese story of the week goes to…

Bizarrely written story, but I have to admit the clickbait worked. It turns out ramen can indeed kill - if combined with multiple stab wounds and drowning.

Those knife wounds may have played a huge part in his death, headline writer. Just a thought.

They had an argument, she threw ramen at him then he committed suicide in the bath. The article is so badly written you could change any of those around though.

Maybe the ramen stabbed him.

Ain't love grand?!

Obviously she is innocent, it was all an accident! She “accidentally” scalded him with the ramen while they were arguing then he “accidentally” slipped and stabbed him self, several times then feeling faint he fell on the bath and “accidentally” turned on the tap and drowned.

It’s all self explanatory when you look at it ;)

Do you suppose the knife wounds had anything to do with it?

Syntactic structure fail; same as back in ‘41 when, in a triumph of Schrödinger’s cat inexactness, the J Govt’s press attaché subsuming past and present into one, left the assembled foreign press none the wiser about the chronology of the attack on Pearl.

Japanese have some of the most unimaginable ways to kill. First degree murder weapon used a cup of ramen!!

I don’t understand how people can make jokes when a man has died in a terrible manner. I find it immature and regressive

It sounds like she didn’t intend to kill him, she wanted to torture him.

A female psychopath. Very frightening indeed. I wonder how long theguy was in relationship with her.
