Clean energy on agenda of Kishida's talks.

Oh Really? What about this:

Japan is like, "We need some coal!" They imported a whopping 210 million short tons of the stuff, making them the third-biggest coal-importing country on the planet, right after India and China. Japan relies on coal to power about a third of their electricity generation, and they also use it for making raw steel. Basically, they can't get enough of the black gold.

When it comes to coal, Japan's like that one friend who always orders takeout instead of cooking. They import nearly all (99%) of the coal they use. And guess who's their go-to supplier? Australia, baby! Those Aussies hooked them up with a massive 128 million short tons of coal, fulfilling 61% of Japan's coal cravings a few years back.

A significant number of my colleagues and acquaintances, myself included, have expressed a clear intention to refrain from consuming any food sourced from the waters surrounding Japan, primarily due to concerns regarding potential radioactivity. As an alternative, numerous individuals are opting to consume fresh seafood harvested from the pristine waters of Alaska or the Atlantic Ocean.

Yes. You are correct. But you are again missing the point of the story. This is about the IAEA. Focus.

Obviously China does not understand America at all. In addition to that, it is easy to tell the difference between Asian's regarding which country they come from. America is a country of immigrants who do not have [yellow hair and sharp noses] as indicated in the article. America stands for every country, and that is the joke on China. We stand united, including Chinese people who live in America as well.

I am positively clueless, and I wholeheartedly put my faith in the genius minds of the Japanese Government and TEPCO. They're absolute wizards, and everything they do is infused with an extraordinary level of brain power that I, sadly, lack. So, without a shred of doubt, I shall cheerfully embrace their actions and indulge in some nuclear-waste-flavored fish. No worries!

Posted in: Fukushima water release should avoid swimming season: Komeito head See in context

In a hilarious twist, the big cheese of Komeito, the "sidekick" coalition pal of Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party, straight-up dropped a bombshell (pun intended). They boldly proclaimed that our government should absolutely, positively, not even think about launching their radioactive water extravaganza into the sea during swimming season. And why, you might ask? Oh, because there's this eensy-weensy concern about the plan being a total safety hazard. Just a tiny concern, really. No biggie!

And the Japanese government said this water is 100% safe. Mmmmmm...

Coming from China, it's a joke.
