I understand this may be shock, but at same time we should not be panic.

Let's do our part, obey rules and pray so that this thing will be over.

It seems to me that people still didn't understand that testing thing will not change the number of deaths. I don't know why you guys care too much about this number and ignore the important one's that are severe people hospitalized and deaths.

We had 79 new cases today. It could be 100.000 new cases that the number of deaths today would be the same. Now, what is the difficult to answer this comment with argument that support your guys idea?

It is interesting when South Korean sympathizer use Germany as example to use on subjects regarding "Korea under Japanese rule" thing when the example more appropriated to use is about countries that colonized other nations and how was their action after being independent from them.

There are bunch of countries that colonized, raped and stole other nations like Spain and Portugal. Both of them did awful thing against Mexico and Brazil centuries ago, yet they never demanded their former colonizers to apologize to them and they are friends.

Another thing, if S. Korea government was concerned about her people, she would move on instead of demanding compensation. You dont see Mexico or Brazil demanding their former colonies compensation, money, etc... as S. Korea does. South Korea as well as China do it more for political reason rather than being worried about their own people.

Posted in: Coronavirus cases skyrocket across Australia as Omicron spreads See in context

Nationwide, 385 daily COVID-19 infections were confirmed Tuesday with Osaka reporting the most among all areas at 51, followed by Tokyo at 46 and Okinawa at 29. The health ministry said a record 69 people coming from abroad had been confirmed to be infected with the virus at Japanese airports.

Of course some of us will keep saying that this result is based on lack of testing, but how can those guys can guaratee that having same number of test as S. Korea and Australia do would be 3.000 cases daily?

Giving downvotes to me is an easy thing to do, but how about share your thoughts that strongly support your idea? Even if the number of test were like in England, the supposed number of new cases would be 0.08%.

Another thing, how testing everyone will guarantee that number of deaths will be zero? South Korea and Australia; countries that test everyone has huge number of deaths. Are you really sure that testing everyone will impede number of deaths?

I'm not against testing people, but we need to understand that our focus should be taking care of ourself by keeping the rules and having good healthy habits. No matter how many people are being testing each day, if the number of deaths is high, this testing thing will be meaningless. Instead of focusing on number of test, why not focus on making people aware of the importance of washing hands properly and eat healthly? Another thing, no matter how many doses you took, if you dont have healthy habits, the risk of die is same. Vaccines are important, but having healthy habits is important too.

From October 14th we had 18.020 deaths and today the tottal number is 18.387.

It is about 350 deaths in more than two months.

From September 17th we had 17.030 deaths and October 14th we had 18.020

It is about 1000 deaths in less than one month.

A lot of things improved, but we still need to keep doing our part by following the rules.

ests conducted in the UK 24 Dec ‘21: 1,582,378

Tests conducted in Japan 24 Dec ‘21: 51,328

Make of that what you will.

The result is 7.2 % from this test got positive in United Kingdom.

The result is 0.08% from this test got positive in Japan.

I understand that your point was to prove that the number of test is important, but it doesn't change the fact that the number of percentage of new cases is way less than England in therms of percentage of number of new cases.

Just in case you inssist on this:

51.528 x 30 = 1539840

43 x 30 = 1290

In other words, on the worst scenary, if we make the number of test in Japan equal to England we would have 1290 that is far behind the number 122.186 from United Kingdom.

Oh well!!! Maybe we need to draw more because some of us didn't get the message.

Some are still inssisting that testing people will improve the situation that the world face, however, none of the place where everyone is tested have zero deaths and zero cases.

If test was meant to solve this problem, Australia and Korea woud be now living their normal life; things that we know that it is not true.

South Korea for instance had this week over 100 death and be sincere guys, do you guys really think that if Korea had same number of tests that is done in Japan, the number of deaths in S. Korea would change or be more? Just use you brain!!!

Deaths is not result of lack of test, but yes for people who have fail to fulfill some part of the rules or just for some reason else that only who are in Heaven knows.

You know the reason for the high numbers dont you?

Yes Marcelito, I know. The reason is the government of South Korea and Australia let people too free insomuch people think that they could do things as it was before the pandemic period. That has nothing to do with number of test. Just to have an idea, S. Korea had more than 5 thousand new cases compared to Japan that had 350 cases. Just make S. Korea number of test be same as Japan, the number of S. Korea would still be higher than Japan.

The number os test is not a main problem, but the way how people deal with this desease. You can test everyone, but if everyone dont washes their hands properly, don't have good healthy habits, etc... the tendency to have high number of cases will occur. The same way, if you test a certain number of people and everyone follow the rules, the tendency to have few numbers may occur.

The media uses "case numbers" as a way to make people who live in countries like the US, Brazil, and England think that this is the most important number to focus on. It is like what happen in western C.M. where companies show on the screen huge hamburrguer when actually that hamburguer is small.

The media never inform details like who are those who get infected and how many of them present mild symptoms and how many are asymptomatics. The media only gives the tottal number and by doing it, people who are not aware of the sittuation think that such number is very severe.

Of course we need to take precaution and keep on mind that Covid 19 can kill people, but we also need to look on other details before taking conclusion about numbers.

One year ago some people here at Japan Today criticized Japan strongly for Japan not testing everyone.

After one year we see countries that were very famous back one year ago for testing everyone like Australia and S.Korea and today we see both of them with higher number of cases and deaths.

From this, I can come to the conclusion that number of test will not lead to improvement of results regarding Covid-19.

Vaccines help a lot people to protect us against Covid 19, but that is not a main fact.

Good healthy habits is a main important thing to keep our bodies protected against any kind of desease.

And, last one's good habits with higiene is a key point to prevent us to have contact with bactery, virus and other kind parasites.

I accept the fact that Japan doesn't test everyone, but testing people doesn't guarantee the number of deaths will be fewer than countries that test less. *

Death result is not a matter of how many tests is being doing in such place, but how people manage their life and how they care about their phisical condition. If everyone uses masks, washes their hands properly, sleeps well and has good and healthy habits, the chance to survive is higher.

Are the most of cases in Tokyo assymptomatic?

I just wonder about it because if it is the case, we may conclude that the virus is not as strong as it was some months ago.

Also, it would be interesting to know about Europe and North American nation if most of cases are assymptomatic or not to get an idea of how strong is this virus right now.
