That has not so much to do with monarchy. Parliamentary sessions in representative democracies are also like theater or a stage performance, and of course the same for military parades or people’s party congresses in China, North Korea, Russia and such. Politics is just like theater everywhere, the decisive difference is, the actors and actresses have also really got the power they are impersonating on thestage while normal actors don’t have it.

Let's rrewrite history for those who can't be arsed to learn about it... so many films and TV series do this. Is it any wonder that the millennials regurgitate the 'history' they see on the screen?

Not really a fan of Mr Law - although I did like "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"... but then I'm a pulp fan - but having some weird concoction made up to repel fellow cast members is maybe taking method acting a bit far?
