So kinda like a gay schrodinger cat: you can't be both gay and not gay at the same tine. Since he outed himself to his boss then he's essentially out already. So how can he try to claim work stress?

Btw mod:

The police believe Runa and Ura were acquainted but have declined to say whether the two suspects have pleaded guilty to the allegations.

Ura is the dead guy so he can't be a suspect.

Did the woman actually believe she was going to get away with murder because SHE CCHANGED HER CLOTHES?!?!

The ONLY way this could be even partially true, is if the police had their DNA on record! Without that, there is no way any DNA "left" at the scene, that alone is a mind-boggling statement, could be connected to anyone!

What's mind boggling is that you haven't watched any police procedurals to know that DNA can be left at the scene from discarded drink cans/bottles, cigarette butts, and on the baby's blanket. Why in the world would they need it on record?1

until he was taken to the police station Tuesday morning for voluntary questioning, where he was subsequently arrested.

There was nothing "voluntary" about his questioning. He was surrounded by police and forcefully interrogated.

Despite the overload, I bet the huts on the mountain still haven't increased staff wages

What in the world does this have to do with the story?!?! Smgdfh...

But the reality is that there's actually less people being accommodated in the mountain huts due to covid. The huts are accepting about half their regular numbers; therefore, there's actually less for the workers to due.

And because of fewer accommodations, more people will.try to bullet hike Fuji san, which will potentially increase the numbers of injured or sick.

Seems like there's a lot of (great) movies no one will ever see this year because it's nearly impossible to see them in Japan. But seriously who sees a movie because it won an award at Cannes? Lots of the winners only appeal to artsy cinematic die hards.

Who the heck is writing this detritus?

I know G7 leaders shouldn't be munching on McDonald's, but articles like this certainly belie the seriousness of holding these summits, especially in times of crises.

Is "collapsed" British English for "unconscious?" Or is it Jenglish? Odd collocation nonetheless.

This guy is supposedly a serial predator up there with the likes of Johnny Kitagawa. A long prison sentence would serve him well.

I have only this to say to those Indonesians thinking of coming here: run, don't walk, away! What may look like a "promising" job in Japan is filled with long hours, low pay and a bunch of ingraites.

However this is just for seishain, which is a tiny portion of their workforce.

I wish the vast majority of you would spend more time researching before you comment. NHK reported yesterday that even contract employees at these large firms were getting pay raises. And Aeon, one of the largest companies with part time employees, was giving a pay raise to all their employees. Read that again, ALL THEIR EMPLOYEES.

Suicide is a mental disorder that can neither be prevented nor "cured." It can be delayed with some treatment, but those seriously ill will find a way. It's heartbreaking for those involved but casting blame on externalities is useless.

And i hate how every article on this subject writes:

Japan is the only Group of Seven nation that does not recognize same-sex marriage

But Japan is not an outlier when it comes to the vast majority of countries that hasn't legalized same sex marriage. This cherry picks a fact to somehow cast gay marriage is being common place.

, although recent polls show a majority of Japanese favor recognizing same-sex marriage.

But not a majority of VOTERS, which is more important. If japan wants to recognize same sex marriage then they better start voting out the LDP. Since this isn't happening then it's meaningless what the majority thinks or wants.

Aren't women to blame for the "dire" situation they find themselves in? If you don't exercise your right to vote, or you are voting for the same party, or you don't demand equal pay for equal work, then nothing will ever change. Black people weren't just given equal rights in America, they had to fight tooth and nail for civil rights legislation to pass.

Absolute hogwash. About 340 drowned in Australia last year. The vast majority, 75%, drowned in an area close to where they live.

https://www.royallifesaving.com.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0007/67687/RLS_NationalDrowningReport2022_SPG_LR.pdf

And just because you "know" how to swim doesn't mean you can survive some type of accident, whether it be physical or weather related.

This happens so often in Japan. The girl wants to break up and they end up dead. It’s no surprise so many women want to remain single.

These kind of blanket statements about Japan are so lazy. Can you actually give a date as to when the last time it was reported on this website? I bet you can't because these types of crimes are quite rare, but when it does happen it's sensationalised.
