And yeah, it is a strange metric to talk about the number of items rather than by how much they’ve gone up.

250 yen for one apple at Max Valu. Yet you can buy some processed slop for a fraction of the price. So apples are going up because of a war on the other side of the world are they? We’re not stupid.

Unfortunately, nature sometimes is ‘noisy’. Cars and motorbikes are even noisier.

Don’t forget Long Covid people. That’s the real issue here. You can have mild or no symptoms at all, but then be wheelchair bound for the rest of your life with this thing if you’re unlucky. Go on, down vote, I really don’t care!

Probably because they don’t get paid enough. Still doesn’t warrant stealing though.

Jesus, who cares?! What about if he’d had alcohol or tobacco in his system? Nothing. Why’s that? Oh, tax revenue perhaps. It’s like the public have been brainwashed when it comes to drugs in Japan. Oh, hang on…

I like the way the photo of him is chosen so it looks like he’s just read this headline and is reacting to it. He’s probably thinking about something entirely different like what to have for lunch. Ooh, Mos burger or the work canteen, what’s it to be, dooshyoo.

So many people use their phones while driving. I actually saw someone doing their make up in the rear view mirror while driving a while back, and a guy shaving. People seem to think of their vehicles as an extension of their living rooms.

Posted in: Watered-down LGBTQ bill shows how far Japan's Diet is out of step with its society – and history See in context

The thing about the whole pronoun thing, is that people generally only use the third person forms to talk about you when you’re not around. When you’re with the same people, they’ll generally refer to you as ‘you’. So, the whole ‘they’, ‘zum’, ‘zee’ etc, only really seems to be significant if you’re famous and constantly being talked about. The other thing about this whole debate is that there seems to be zero room for nuance or debate. You’re either on one side or the other.

Personally speaking, I’ve climbed over 400 mountains in Japan, but haven’t got the slightest interest in climbing Mount Fuji. Nice from afar but far from nice. I think most people only climb it as it’s so famous.

Stop giving homework then. Let kids do all the work in the classroom and spend their free time doing other stuff. Or, have them read at home and do the ‘homework’ or essay/test in the classroom on paper.

As it gets progressively hotter and hotter each year, they ask us to turn down the aircon even more. I’m sorry but Coolbiz, which is basically what everyone was already doing anyway, just doesn’t cut it. Why not ask people to turn off unnecessary lighting or something for example. It’s always the aircon.

How about the tiny minority of men who have serious problems like this guy don’t take advantage of women to sexually abuse them, more like. As a woman, even I wouldn’t tar all men with the same brush. Let’s remember that the vast majority of men are… decent, and not use this as an excuse to generalize. This man however, is seriously messed up.

Falseflagsteve. It seems like you are suggesting that - out of all the possible factors - the cause of all this is being in a single parent family. I wonder which logical fallacy that one is, confusing cause and effect for one.

This kind of thing is seemingly rampant online. There needs to be more education to stop it happening more often. I hope they release the guy’s name.
