Excellent.

European football could learn from this example.

Well deserved ban, but I'm always wondering how such bans are enforced. Can't you just have your mates buy tickets for you. It's not like at the gate they stop you and ask you: 'G'day mate, let us check your identities for possible bans'

The name of the game is feel good virtue signaling for people who’ve convinced themselves that the far truer ‘there but for the grace of God go I’ doesn’t apply.

Some people are just racial trash, their nothing redeeming about them or their lives

You need to be a little more careful, Yrral. The term you were looking for is "racist trash". What you said instead makes your sentence mean something very different.

Yeah, fine. It's a start, but still a drop in the bucket.

Look at what happened to Adam Goodes. That was a disgrace on the whole nation, with hundreds, if not thousands of people around the country booing him every single time he touched the ball, in every single game he played after he "had the nerve" to call out this kind of behaviour that was leveled against him.

Let's give it some time to see if this is just a token gesture (as I suspect it is), or the first step in some desperately needed meaningful, real, long term plan of action.
