You can buy a pretty decent pair of night vision goggles for around san-man ... Don't need to be all Watergate with the flashlights

I have a friend from Malmö, Sweden. According to him, the influx of refugees (majority are Muslims) came hand in hand with an increase in violent crime. These kind of acts against Islam, ie book burnings, are a message to would be refugees that they're not welcome in Sweden ...

I think people are tired of their governments letting in hordes of people who have no interest in assimilating to the host country's way of life .... How does they old saying go ? .. "when in Rome, do whatever you bloody like"

Through her actions, this woman has caused her child to become a diabetic, which is going to have a knock-on effect and create all sorts of other health problems that have a high probability of shortening her life expectancy ....

I understand that risk is low (actually lower than what I had conceived - thanks for your info Taiwan) - but from what I'm reading, gun violence and gun related deaths are only trending one way ..

My kids asked me why we've never been on holiday to mainland America ... I told them it's too risky.

I'd like to go one day because it's got a lot of great spots to visit, but knowing that you could be enjoying yourself one minute, and then in the ER with a bullet in your leg (or worse) .. just not worth gambling your life.

My wife's grandmother was a lovely woman but when the Alzheimer's turned her into someone completely unrecognisable, she was a handful to look after - it drove my mother in-law nuts and she finally accepted our recommendation to let the professionals take care of her ... It is stressful to look after people when they start to lose their marbles ...

I'm just speculating but it could have been partly why she finally snapped

Mr K - investing in our children is investing in our future. Not looking after the young is shooting ourselves in the foot.

I actually agree with you that too much money is wasted on things like alcohol and cigarettes by a certain demographic, but remember that children can't choose their parents ...

I worry about children going hungry. I wonder if the government could give the ones that need it breakfast before school too - the kitchens are already there, so it's feasible.

I remember Tim Henman getting disqualified in a Wimbledon doubles match years ago. Out of anger, he smashed the ball hit a ball kid in the head - rightly so got disqualified, but in this case, I just don't see it as needing such a harsh response. Shame on their opponents for wanting to win like that ... Fingers crossed they get knocked out next round

Really John ?? No other country that has so many babies killed or tortured...

Try reading some horror stories from India, where parents favour having boys because they can generate more money for the family. Guess what happens to unwanted baby girls ..

Regarding this 19 year-old girl - I don't think we can pass judgement until we know more about her situation ... Could be some twisted stuff going on in that house.

Posted in: Russia accuses Japan of ‘cynical speculation’ after Tokyo’s nuclear rebuke See in context

Clay writes about his concerns of US NATO nuclear proliferation to Ukraine, but doesn't mention (or maybe doesn't know) that Ukraine was a defacto nuclear power after the break up of the Soviet Union.

Ukraine agreed to give up their nuclear arsenal in return for security guarantees.

US wants less nuclear weapons, not more.

Looking at US actions in terms of these past negotiations with Ukraine (and south Africa, Japan, south Korea and so on) proves that America will not proliferate weapons of mass destruction to other countries.

You always got the feeling City had what it would take to finish the season over the gooners, not only a deeper squad but the fixtures for City were more favourable..

I'm hoping arsenal can add some good players, otherwise premier league will be turning into the Spanish league - boring 1 horse race
