I'm from Liverpool UK. Our city was extensively bombed by the German Luftwaffe in WW2. Both of my parents suffered from Post Traumatic Stress for the rest of their lives. The horrors towards Japan in WW2 make me wonder about the sensibilities of the film-makers and distributors who would think it acceptable to release Oppenheimer in Japan. I would have been enraged if the German people had thought it OK to release a film which glorified the Luftwaffe during my lifetime. The pain of war endures for many generations in my humble opinion.

@wallace

Yep, I totally agree about the 13 years of Tory government. All they seem to know is how to take from others, in order to line their own pockets.

When I was 15, I started going to the Cavern. In those days, there were at least 250 bands in Liverpool. As there were few jobs around for baby-boomers, boys tried to make a living with their music. After years of "managed decline" by the Thatcher government, Liverpool is repeating its music as a source of income. Wait and see. New bands are always appearing. The Irish heritage is in the blood of people here.

All premeditated, so malice aforethought. It's a shame if the case was about the mother being at the end of her tether.

but it shows the profound need for psychological outreach to those in need to help to break the cycle of violence before it can harm future generations.

So sorry, but I have had many, many years of experience of working with such individuals throughout my career (I'm now 73 and retired), and there are very few who succeed in changing their behaviour. All too often, they haven't reach a tipping point of emotion, nor can they visualise an alternative to their learned behaviour. However, there is always hope
