I have never heard of Rick Springfield. Just googled his hits. Never heard any of them before. He must have completely bypassed the UK and gone straight for US College rock radio. It's terrible.

Why legitimise a narrative from the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice ?

The reality is four incredibly dull men burning a pile of junk in the desert.

She converted to Islam many years ago and changed her name. No mention of that.

From the article :

O'Connor announced in 2018 that she had converted to Islam and would be adopting the name Shuhada’ Davitt, later Shuhada Sadaqat

She was utterly vilified by conservatives for raising awareness of child sexual abuse long before they all suddenly cared (but not really).

A fierce spirit. RIP.

I imagine most people in the world are not at all interested in a movie about a man who develops the worst weapon in humanity.

In fact, that same majority of people would be looking for the polar opposite.

Madonna has had several #1 singles, a possible woman's record but her music is style over substance. Not worth a damn.

I am guessing your personal dislike of Madonna, the person, is clouding your musical judgement. She was, and remains, the most influential female artist of the last 40 years.

Almost as important as the performing aspect is her business acumen. Her A&R abilities are as good as any music label boss and she pioneered the path now taken by Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

I'm not a fan of any of their music but they are certainly due respect.

Hopefully it will bring on many sequels, prequels and origin stories.

Also, data shows that conservative boomers are the most likely to deny climate change or that humans are the cause :

@Miles Teg

So you have been getting angry at teenager movies. Still legally children but it obviously bothers you that movies made for humans who cannot legally do most things are not made for you. A grown adult. I presume.

Rated-G are children's films. Recent woke crap like Dial of Destiny and Little Mermaid were PG-13. Most woke crap were PG-13 so not children's movies. You clearly don't understand what Rated-G means. The 1989 animated version of Little Mermaid was Rated-G and it wasn't woke.

Jeez. What age is an adult ? If you are under 18, you are a child. They are movies made for children.

If you need to take your mum or dad to the cinema with you, you are watching a children's movie.

Who cares! Nothing but far left progressives who live in their own little bubble.

The only two non-woke movies are “Top Gun; Maverick” and this new one “Sound of Freedom”

These movies are successful! The rest of Hollywood films are garbage woke propaganda

The financial data doesn't support your weak-kneed assertion :

https://www.imdb.com/list/ls059204437/

All kid's movies, so admittedly I have only seen a couple out of the top 25, but not a surprise.

I guess if you look for woke, you can find it anywhere, but the data suggests anyone complaining about woke garbage has been watching children's movies.

Bring in new blood and a stop to the millions of sequels/remakes and superhero movies.

This has been the business model since the early Eighties. Remember, they made 7 Police Academy movies.

A combination of risk-averse studio executives and the unavoidable fact that most people have quite infantile taste has brought us to the current creative desert.

As someone who loves music, I am aware that there is a huge amount of talent out there but the algorithms means most people don't hear / see them so are therefore not rewarded financially.

Spotify pays artists between $0.003 - $0.005 per stream on average.

Kurds thrown under the bus by Sweden in return for NATO membership. Brutal.

I am sympathetic to your extreme left-wing take on topics here Alfie but unfortunately the more extreme left-wing often go full circle and end up sharing a toilet cubicle with the extreme right-wing.

In this situation, both the Kurds and an international agreement on the Armenian Genocide are deeply regrettable collateral from the greater threat.

It's their job. That's why we pay them. They study stuff and show data. If you choose to ignore experts it says more about you than them.
