A lot 12 accomplishments so far and going…

Most of the list you provided will never be enacted. A lot of House resolutions (i.e. statements) or new House committees.

Accomplishments, lol . . .

The GOP House has not been able to pass anything. You know why? The MAGA wing's stuff is just too crazy to even make it out of the House, much less get passed by the Senate.

so the GOP should just roll over and go with whatever the Dems want?

There's such a thing as compromise. Democrats and Republicans used to be able to do it until the Tea Party, the Freedumb Caucus, and other circus performers took over the GOP.

Desperation is often the trade of a fallible prosecutorial political driven band of so-called lawyers.

You have an opinion based on no evidence. None. Garland and Smith have nothing in their record even remotely suggesting partisanship or corruption or membership in some secret leftist adenochrome cabal.

My conclusion, based on a preponderance of facts, is that Trump is a crook, he is unfit for the presidency or any other public office, and he has severely wounded American democracy and political discourse.

It’s really not complicated.

Garland and Smith…can’t even say what they are, this is a family site.

Classy.

What have these men done to warrant such public vitriol?

Pretty much the majority of them as to the political severity of them, now ask how I feel about the lackey’s working for the DOJ that are tasked with trying to (unsuccessfully) take down this man.

It’s clear you haven’t read the indictments.

He also called for Smith "and his Thug Prosecutors" to be jailed alongside Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Trump is a lunatic.

How anyone could support this man at this point is beyond me.

He’s talking about jailing a prosecutor and AG for doing their jobs.

Facts are facts, and the law’s the law.

I’ve heard nothing from you about the substance of these charges. Are there specific facts you dispute?

Yeah, nothing is more presidential than a total disdain for laws, the judiciary, law enforcement, the government, or anyone who doesn’t give him everything he wants.

lol

Trump is a deranged narcissist and nihilist. He has no concern for anyone but himself, and certainly not for the nation.

@bass

What’s your defense of Trump ordering security cam footage deleted while knowingly under investigation for knowingly stashing top secret documents that he knew he hadn’t declassified?

All I’ve heard is attacks on Jack Smith, whose motives you seem to know.

here is the hard part, prove the intent, and state of mind.

Not hard in this case.

What possible state of mind would make a person order staff to delete security cam footage while under investigation?

There’s really only one answer, given Trump’s patterns of behavior. He wanted to hide something that the DOJ was looking for. That’s criminal, and the mens rea is clear.

Rudy Giuliani is not disputing that he made public comments falsely claiming two Georgia election workers committed ballot fraud during the 2020 presidential race but he argues that his words are constitutionally protected statements

Willful defamation based on known falsehoods is not constitutionally protected.

Giuliani used to be a smart lawyer. Then he got tangled up in the MAGA swamp.

Try that in a small town.

What he's insinuating is a white small town, well armed, and ready to use vigilante justice against uppity minorities and libs who don't know their place.

Yeah, ya think you’re tough--when you're a majority with a bunch of AR-15s.

Celebrating the ugliest legacy of the South.

BTW, Macon isn't a small town.

Oh, just remembered another hallmark of far right authoritarianism: whitewash and mythologize the nation's history and cram this uncritical narrative into the public school system. Orban's doing it in Hungary, and the current MAGA GQP is working on it as well.

The rise of Orban and the other semi-fascist authoritarians over the past couple of decades is because of the Biden administration?

There we go. The Great Replacement theory. Which is why Orban is so popular among MAGA/Q-Anon/White Supremacist Americans. Spoke at CPAC. Tucker did a special from Hungary.

Birds of a feather.

why most of those establishment Republicans that were against his agenda have been replaced

The ones who have been replaced were booted not because of their policy positions but because they were against Trump’s vision of the presidency as his personal fiefdom and his dirty dealings.

Think Liz Cheney, who voted for almost everything Trump backed, but is now considered a RINO. It’s not ideology, it’s not policy. It’s loyalty, and it’s a cult.

As for Q Anon, rule #1 for these people is to deny they know what Q is when confronted by nonbelievers.

if the roles were reversed, the Dems would do the same.

First of all, it's not the entire GOP that's holding up these nominations. It's Rand Paul. Secondly, no, the "Dems" wouldn't do the same.

Paul might have a point (though still not justified) if there were a legitimate basis for his request. But there's not. It's all based on Q-Anon, anti-vax conspiracy theories, and anger over having to wear a mask. He's holding up diplomatic nominations for that?
