Nothing would make Putin happier than the acceptance of the idea that Wagner and the Kremlin are no longer associated with each other.

That way when Wagner forces enter Ukraine and then start harassing NATO supply lines and start stealing weapons from NATO warehouses Russia can sit back and enjoy the show without taking any blame whatsoever.

Wagner fighters, with top notch small arms, scramble proof radios and (covert) satellite intelligence will be quite the nuisance.
