So saying the sun must have something to do with the change means something is different about the sun, what would that be?

The sun is not a light bulb. Solar activity varies.

If you actually listened to the skeptics of man-made global warming, you would know this...

Seems you're refuting their claims without even knowing what they are....

The most vulnerable were only getting a small fraction of the grain.

The grain deal was a deal, and only Russia was complying to its side of the deal. For 9 months or so, Russia was asking the other side comply, but they refused.

I think the sun has something to do with it.

I think so too, as do many climatologists....

How is the sun responsible of this year being hotter than previous ones? the article specifically mentions the problem is the higher and higher temperatures.

Where do you think the heat comes from?

Russia's latest strike on Odesa on Sunday killed two people and severely damaged a historic Orthodox cathedral, drawing a vow of retaliation from Ukraine's leader.

Hard to believe, considering Zelensky's regime has been attacking the orthodox church for quite some time, and Putin complaining about it.

But since this is what Zelensky's regime said happened, I guess we must believe it....

Climate change is caused by humans, that is already a well known fact.

That is most certainly not a well known fact, just an extremely widespread narrative.

Are you suggesting that before humans, climate did not change?

I agree.

But he seems like a decent guy. If his complications are the result of a medical procedure, I would have expected him to make it public, to warn others. But his (and Hamlin's) silence is surprising.

I am also not a climatologist, but I can tell you that there is nothing in the above article that "makes it painfully clear how these increased risks come from the human activity derived climate change".

The whole article do that repeatedly mentioning how this is a result of the climate change,

Yeah, climate changes. Who said it didn't.

The question is whether it is caused by human activity. The article does not address that.

The "evidence" that human activity has a significant effect is not painfully clear; looks more like agenda driven BS.

Could you explain the rest of the article and not just the one little bit you quoted? I’m not a climatologist as you apparently are (as you seem very confident in your refutation of climate change) so please go easy on the big scientific words.

Posted in: Drone hits Crimean ammunition depot as strikes kill, wound civilians and journalists in Ukraine See in context

So Putin doesn’t want to conquer Ukraine and Biden is stopping Ukraine from surrendering?

Exactly. Putin issued numerous warnings before the SMO. He and Zelensky agreed to a peace deal very early on, but Zelensky was pressured to break the deal.

Wildfires have been a natural part of northern forest and tundra ecosystems for thousand of years.

yet there will always be people shamelessly insisting that this is all due to human activity derived climate change...

Posted in: Exercise may or may not help you lose weight and keep it off – here's evidence for both sides of the debate See in context

Regardless of weight, exercise is great for overall health.

Cut down/out sugar and reduce insulin resistance.

Exercise regularly at least three times a week.

Don't overeat.

Skip one meal a day thus fast for about eighteen hours daily.

Exactly!

Carbs are the main culprit, especially refined carbs.

For years, I've been following a time restricted, relatively low carb diet, and I've been feeling great.

This past week and a half, I lost 3 kg by cutting out all alcohol and further reducing carbs.

Cruelty beyond words. You go to sleep only to be woken up to the sound of falling bombs and drones and meet morning full of cries and sadness

when will this cruel person be stopped?

Yeah, the people of Donbas had been subjected to such cruelty by Kiev since 2014. Putin is making sure this ends....

I'm surprised the US still hasn't figured out that the more they sanction Russia, the more the West suffers. Russia has so far done quite well...

The US can't isolate itself, it controls the world's currency. If you don't want to be sanctioned don't support an imperialistic country like Russia.

The USD being the world currency is rapidly coming to an end. Many countries that had been long bullied by imperialistic US have finally been offered an alternative with BRICS

The Belarus Red Cross has sparked international outrage after its chief told Belarusian state television that the organization is actively involved in bringing Ukrainian children from Russian-occupied areas to Belarus.

Why would the "international community" be outraged by them moving Russian children out of a war zone? Would they rather have them remain in danger....

As always, those who think Ukraine should cede territory after ‘Putin's little tit for tat military operation’ ( invasion ) are t willing to say what they should give up.

I believe it's those autonomous regions that voted with an overwhelming majority to join Russia. Ukraine will never get those...

Anyone surprised Russia wouldn't keep its word? Yeah, me neither.

No, Putin had shown great patience and tolerance while the other side continued to ignore their side of the deal. And with Ukraine taking advantage of the deal for importing weapons and committing acts of terrorism, Putin finally had enough.

Climate has always changed and will continue to change. Whatever humans do will not have any significant effect on climate change, and will only end up financially enriching a select few (e.g. Kerry) at the expense of everyone else (i.e. us).

Would Japan welcome NATO assistance once China moves on Taiwan and Japan becomes a front line target due to its US military bases?

Or perhaps get rid of the US military bases, then they wouldn't be a front line target...

The US and NATO have instigated most (all?) recent wars. Japan should definitely stay out of NATO, and ideally even get rid of all US military bases.

Posted in: U.S. sending fighter jets, warship to Gulf region to protect ships from Iranian seizures See in context

Question is why is this happening?

It might have something to do with the US illegal occupation of Syria recently becoming increasingly threatened by Russia.

The idea that the US Navy, or indeed the US is engaged in oil piracy is just so laughable as to call into question the cognitive abilities of anyone foolish enough to postulate it.

It is well known that the US has been stealing Syria's oil (and wheat) for years. Trump himself admitted this.

Japan should stay away from both NATO and the current conflict. Nothing good will come of it...

On the contrary, handing Russia a Vietnam level failure will cause even Xi to spend another decade strengthening his forces before starting anything.

Russia will not fail. The more the West (and Japan) "help", the more Ukrainians die.

Posted in: Food allergies among Japanese school kids up 1.8 points from fiscal 2013 See in context

That might be one cause, but I tend to think it is more due to the adjuvants in the vaccines. They are added to vaccines to stimulate the body's response to the antigen in the vaccine, but it likely also stimulates the body's immune response to other proteins present during or soon after vaccination (food, dust, pollen, self....).

And yet no vaccine (nor vaccine schedule) have ever been proved to increase the risk of allergies to anything not included in the vaccine.

Indeed, pharma studies have not proven that their vaccines cause allergies. And?

It has become painfully clear in the past 3 years that those who should be investigating the safety and long term effects of new medical products do not want to find problems in said products.

So, alright, four was okay, sixteen is not. Big number bad. Let's bring that number down, let's stop vaccinating children against (picks one at random) Japanese encephalitis. That will help, encephalitis is not that widespread, and if it doesn't kill you it it makes you stronger. Brain damaged, but stronger.

Yes, stronger and not autistic...

Posted in: Food allergies among Japanese school kids up 1.8 points from fiscal 2013 See in context

Because these vaccines contain food proteins.

That might be one cause, but I tend to think it is more due to the adjuvants in the vaccines. Its hereditary just like other diseases.

Are you suggesting that recent changes in our DNA is causing food allergies to increase?

What's the difference between conspiracy theory and the truth? Oh, about 20 years.

Lately, it seems more like 3 to 6 months...
