Despite these undeniable facts, and record setting trends, there will still be the flat earthers piping up - "But...I'm wearing a jumper today...therefore it cant be true!"

One other factor that bears mention is the relocation of measuring stations from parks and other "green" areas, where they had been located for decades to new "urban" points surrounded by pavements. In some cases, the previous measuring station locations were absorbed by urbanization construction projects.

Expanded urban developments factor heavily into the changes in local microclimate conditions. Heat Islands have grown and increased both in number and proximity to others creating even larger Heat Islands.

One only has to observe the vast expansion of Tokyo proper since the late 1950s and the accelerated development of the surrounding areas, particularly Saitama.

Yes, urbanization is man-made.

Urban area are part of the global environment so should be included. And any changes in measuring stations are accounted for.
