Five titles in six seasons.

The depressing thing for the rest of the league is as long as they have arguably the best manager in the world along with the financial backing, this dominance is going to be near impossible to break. Guardiola is on a different level to Ten Hag or Howe. Klopp isn’t backed with the same financial muscle.

The best players look at this and City is the only option for a guaranteed league title. The Champions League is just a matter of time.

I would rather have Citeh dominate than Barca or Bayern or PSG for hat matter.

Nobody dominating would be the ideal. It would be great to have what happened in the 1960s in English football. I think it was 7 different teams won the league in one decade.

I prefer the German model in terms of ownership of clubs but it doesn’t stop Bayern Munich dominating in Germany.

40% of Premier League teams have foreign investors.

40% of Premier League teams have foreign investors.

and?

The greatest league in the world attracts foreign investments, especially the Americans. Take Wexham FC for instance. Foreign investments produce the greatest returns on their capital.

The US Fenway group bought Liverpool for £300 million. Now worth about £4 billion. Fenway looking for new investors. LeBron James pocketed £35 million profit from Liverpool's ownership.

I think Wexham FC is the story of the day. Bought by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Formed in 1864, it is the oldest club in Wales and the third-oldest professional association football team in the world. Their Racecourse ground capacity is 10,771. Now promoted to Football League. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took the entire team to Las Vegas to celebrate.

American investors were priced out of the North American professional sports market.

I would prefer to see football clubs owned 51% by the supporters of the clubs.

These guys are a real football team and the best in the world right now…; the game against Real Madrid a couple of nights ago was incredible…, what a beauty that was(!) / the quality of their football is something special…; (they completely destroyed/dominated the current European champions)…(!);

I criticized this club in the past…; “ all that foreign money and no soul…, no history “…; but they have to start somewhere, right(?);

… they can win the treble this year… and they deserve it. Good luck.

@rcch How can a club founded in 1880 have "no history"? Manchester City have a long and fascinating history. What the "no history" statement really means is that City were not successful when the author started following football and they have no knowledge of earlier times. The Bert Trautman story is one of the most interesting in football. And Colin Bell's on of the most tragic (and, strangely for a club with no history, I recall being on the Kippax that night in November 1975). Football really did exist before the Premier League was founded in 1992.

I apologize for my poor choice of words…; but, in football, there’s history… and then there’s history.

Sadly the season is coming to an end.

Citizens keep growing all the time. Pep is a constructive and creative mentor. Barça, Bayern, and Man City have benefitted from Pep's dedication, commitment, and work ethics. He is blessed with a fertile footballing mind beneath his headgear.

I don’t think Pep is as great as he’s made out to be. Give these managers a side like Everton or Leicester season and they’d still be relegation candidates. Not saying he’s not good, but not great. If he asks for the big money buys, the chap gets them.

Exactly.

And Pep has to learn not to bash his own supporters.

American investors were priced out of the North American professional sports market.

Because all the North American professional sports teams, the greatest and most productive financially, are already owned by---and get this--Americans.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

We have Americans invested in Palace but Mr Steve Parish who has a smaller stake makes all the decisions, he’s local to the club and a lifelong supporter. Also the owners don’t seem keen on investing too much, guess it’s too much of a risk with a team like Palace at the present time.

The three greatest managers are Pep Guardiola. Carlo Ancelotti. Jürgen Klopp.

Thats an opinion, nit necessarily factually. I think Mr Brian Clough was the best and a cheeky cheaply, a right card. A proper geezer who wouldn’t put up with any woke nonsense like these days.

Game underway at Anfield.

Clough ain't here anymore.

You didn’t say they had to be alive mate.

Falseflagsteve

go and watch the game.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Watching the footy now chaos, is anyone else?

well, Palace have made a poor start, hope they start improving. Mr Zaha is out for the season and Mr Schlupp is having leave because of family issues. Mr Eduarde is up front, well I’m afraid he doesn’t impress me at all. We need a decent striker you see.

Watching MU, up 1 nil.

Cup on to that one.

Shoild beat Bournemouth easily, they didn’t even bother turning up last week. Since they know they are safe seem to have switched off.

Bournemouth is on the attack approaching the half but MU is playing good D.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Me and my big mouth, Palace do a counter attack and Mr Eduard scores a brilliant goal in the top left of the goal.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Best result of the season was Liverpool 7 ManU 0. Oh ya!

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Best result of the season was Liverpool 7 ManU 0. Oh ya!

I'm sure MU fans are also clinging to that memory at this point in the season.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

You can feel their embarrassment all the way down the East Lancs Rd

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Everton losing, will the relegation battle be decided on the final day of the season?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Aston Villa jumping ahead of Liverpool 1-0 with Klopp off the sideline and hiding in the shadows of the Stadium.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Ruddy hell, 1-1 a daft penalty given away by Mr Mitchell, what a silly boy

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Mr Klopp will be furious that Liverpool is losing today, can he pull something out of his magic hat?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

All other scores staying the same now with 25 minutes or so left.

Im so excited and I just can’t hide it, he he

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Still no change in scores as we enter the final few minutes of the three pm matches.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

2-2 now at Craven Cottage as Mr Joel Ward scores a rare goal. Bravo! I salute you sir.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Still no goal for the Scousers, Mr Klopp will no doubt be furious and possibly becoming emotional.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

The great Bobby Firmino, god of the KOP, scores. His final game.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Liverpool equalize as the game draws to a close, any more exciting things to happen today?

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Everton also equalize as we now see both Merseyside teams at 1-1

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

They think it’s all over, well it is now

How will these games affect the end of the season? Things look dire for Leeds and Leicester as Everton take a point after a later goal from Mr Mina.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Forest now beating Arsenal 1-0 as today’s 5.30 pm kick off is underway.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Second half about to start, had refreshments, drip coffee (Blendy) and a corned beef ( Libby’s) sandwich in crusty white bread.

Can Forest win the game and end their relegation worries, can Arsenal improve and end their recent poor form?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Todays final Premier League game is over, Forest 1 Arsenal 0. Arsenals woes continue as Forest virtually ensure they will be playing Premier League football next season.

Next match is tomorrow at 9.30pm Japan time as West Ham take on Leeds United, a must win game for Leeds or relegation seems almost certain.

Man City now champions for 22/23 season.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Man City does it again. Congrats to them.
