Cat tongues are covered in reverse hook-like tissue called papillae that feel a little bit like sandpaper. These papillae help them remove odor, chew faster and taste food better. Interestingly, when cats lick each other, it’s also to form and strengthen bonds.
While there have been hacks to recreate this sensation with cat owners using old toothbrush bristles to groom and bond with their cats, Nippon Seal Co Ltd has cracked the code.
This cat grooming material also doubles as a cute stuffed toy for your feline friend. Available in two washing machine-friendly designs, it has one side with an attached brush-type material that cleans and brushes cat fur.
