The more the US sanctions, the more the world just begins to ignore and bypass the US.

Gender norms are scripts that direct people to behave in ways that are consistent with one group’s ideas about what it means to be a woman or a man.

Well then if gender is merely a social construct, how can someone be born the wrong gender?

Elsewhere, Russia claimed Saturday it had regained control of the village of Urozhaine in Ukraine’s easternmost Luhansk region in an overnight counterattack.

Not only has Zelensky's "counteroffensive" completely failed but now the Russians are establishing control over more areas.

Zelensky had to fire his entire team in charge of the draft because of the vast amount of Ukrainians paying bribes to avoid been forced into the army.

Ukrainian families don't want their sons and fathers to die in a pointless war and it's common place to gather all the savings from relatives to pay off local conscription officers to fudge paperwork so their boys don't get sent to their deaths.

It's time for a ceasefire and peaceful negotiations.

Attacks against civilians don't weaken resolve, they strengthen it.

These attacks are a gift to the Kremlin, because the Russian media can focus on these and tell average everyday Russians that their country is under attack.

If the French have been treating Niger so well, why are they so poor?

Judging by the picture. the waving Russian flags thing seems to be an exaggeration.

They are waving Niger flags... but of course that doesn't fit the narrative.

Posted in: Russian fighter jet fired flares at U.S. drone over Syria, U.S. military says See in context

On Monday, Syrian state news agency SANA reported that residents protested in the town of al-Mayadeen, in Deir Ez-Zor province, “in rejection of the American occupation of Syrian lands,”

First of all, condolences to the US air force drone operators who are no doubt traumatized by this encounter and had their feelings hurt.

But the US has no business in sovereign Syrian territory. The UN recognized Syrian government have clearly stated that they consider the US to be an invading force while the Russians have been officially and legally invited to fly their plans in Syrian airspace.

The US should respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries.

This is the 43rd security assistance package approved by the United States for Ukraine.

Because the previous 42 security assistance packages have already been beaten back by demoralized 17 year-old conscripts who sent into battle only with shovels.

And don't forget, the Russians are using WW2 era tanks from museums and their trucks have no engines in them.

But incredibly they stand their ground against all these fancy billion dollar toys.

The so-called counteroffensive has completed failed.

The attackers are unable to break the resistance of the defensive units and entire Ukrainian units are either refusing orders to fight or simply surrendering.

It's primarily a war between drones at this point.

It's pointless and the world is suffering.

It's time for a ceasefire and negotiations for peace.

Both Russia and Ukraine are “essential to global food security,'' the U.N. leader said. He noted that they have historically accounted for 30% of global wheat and barley exports, a fifth of all maize and more than half of all sunflower oil.

The shortage of food in the Global South is caused by the sanctions against Russian wheat and other food products.

Drop the sanctions and the problem is resolved tomorrow.

It was a medical complication, that is very specific terminology.

That means it was not an attempted suicide, bicycle accident or spontaneous or recurring ailment.

A medical complication means he underwent a medical procedure and then suffered a problem as a result of that procedure.

It seems that the procedure he underwent is a hot button issue and hence the censorship, however members of his family seem to be speaking out.

Best time ever to look back and validate that decision to refuse vaccination.

Globally, about 3 billion people made the same choice, including some 30 to 40 million in Japan.

Actually the ratio of Covid unvaccinated is actually increasing in many countries as more and more parents are opting not to vaccinate their kids with these Covid vaccines.

In about 20 years time, the Covid vaccinated will be a minority.

Posted in: Putin tells Poland any aggression against Belarus is attack on Russia See in context

Putin wants to invade the Poland and Lithuania land between Belarus and Kaliningrad.

That would be an invasion of NATO bringing Article 5.

Yes, but if Wagner forces enter Ukraine and attack Poland or Lithuania from there, article 5 can't be invoked against Belarus or Russia.

Wagner is not affiliated with Russia and officially, the Kremlin has disavowed all legal ties between it and Wagner.

Since the coup operation, Wagner is a stateless orphan, similar to ISIS in northern Syria, no country takes responsibility for it.

Putin and the Kremlin seem to want to rival Stalin and his brutal regime and their Holodomor, the man-made famine that killed many Ukrainians

Stalin was Georgian, not Russian. He was a foreign dictator that oppressed the Russian people

Russians view the Communist regime as a dictatorship that invaded their country and subjugated them.

It was Krushchev, a Ukrainian, who forced the Russians in the Donbass and Crimea to be ruled from Kiev.

In fact, from Stalin onwards, there were no ethnic Russian leaders of the USSR until Gorbachev, who ended the tyranny of Socialism and released the Russian people from oppression.

On Thursday, Belarus said Wagner mercenaries had started to train Belarusian special forces at a military range just a few miles from the Polish border.

Just a few miles from the NATO border... curious.

The important thing to remember is that any skirmishes between NATO and Wagner are in no way connected to the Kremlin.

Since the coup (which stopped on a dime), the Kremlin has disavowed any and all official ties to Wagner.

Wagner is now a private loose cannon group, unaccountable to any country.

The Greeks were there before Russia or the USSR ever were. This is a silly argument.

So if the land has been under control of various powers, the Greeks, the Tartars, the Russians, the USSR, the Ukraine and now the Russians again.

Why is the Ukrainian claim to the land more legitimate than other any countries?

Russian soldiers died for that land, and now they control it.

The people that live there speak Russian, not Greek, Ukrainian or Turkish.
