Phenomenal stuff from young Tokito! To maintain his nerve and prevail at Wimbledon shows he is mature well beyond his 17 years.

Congratulations Tokito-chan!

Well done young chap. Wheelchair tennis eh, whatever next?

Glad to see those with disabilities can perform on the big stage and make their dreams come true.

Amazing that Japan has unearthed another tennis champion so soon after legend Shingo Kunieda's retirement. At just 17 Oda could be in for a long and prosperous career too. Well done young man!

@Tamanegi - in Japan, disabled children and adults are strongly encouraged to participate in sports. So, no coincidence why Japan is very strong in disabled sports - not just tennis.

Thanks @Fighto Good to know. Apparently Oda-kun made an impressive victory speech in English too. I'm trying to find it online.

Congratulations to champion Tokito Oda and to his challenger Alfie Hewett. Well played.

Look how small the trophy is compared to the men with legs trophy is! Wimbledon should be ashamed of themselves. They didn't make Fred Perry a member back in the day and now they are dissing people with disabilities. Shame on All England. Boycott!
