Obama was the best gun salesman because every time he uttered the words 'gun control' , gun sales went through the roof and law abiding gun loving patriots rushed to stock up, just in case he was able to follow through on what he promised.

If gun control advocates truly want to keep gun sales down they should vote Republican.

Trump is defending school shooters, mass shooters and the gun manufacturers who arm them with AR-15s.

to defend the Second Amendment at all costs

Children having their heads blown off is one of those costs.

Well worth it? To the NRA, yes.

Great! I’m there all the way!

Donna Alberts, who traveled around 600 miles (965 kilometers) from Greenbriar, Arkansas, for the convention, said nothing could sway her vote for Trump in 2024.

“He’s a good man," Alberts said, “and he does what he says he’s going to do, and he loves this country.”

Sad to see these comments by delusional American seniors and make no mistake it is cultist and well funded by tax-exempt American evangelicals and corporations that ally themselves with their marriage of convenience prosperity gospel.

Guns, God reproductive rights and gender issues are their focus at these GOP and NRA conventions and the Republican right has morphed from neocon oligarchs like Bush and Romney defending monied interests to fundamentalist fanatics.

One grew out of the other and it is difficult to see which are more insidious to the American public welfare or worldwide peace and stability.

Idiots!

“Gun-hating politicians should never go to bed unafraid of what this association, and all of our millions of members, can do to their political careers,”

A not-so-veiled threat of violence from fascist Wayne.

Sick.

Instead of the government going after hardened criminals, he complained, “The only one they want to prosecute is Donald Trump.”

Whiner.

You couldn't make it up:

“He’s a good man," Alberts said, “and he does what he says he’s going to do, and he loves this country.”

Does he, now. And yet...

He also suggested raising the minimum age to buy assault rifles from 18 to 21, and suggested he was open to a conversation about reviving assault weapons bans. After later meeting with the NRA, however, Trump abandoned his push.

Guns, God reproductive rights and gender issues are their focus at these GOP and NRA conventions and the Republican right

Yes! Nothing wrong with the 2nd amendment, whether someone believes in God or not is not a crime, nothing wrong wanting to protect women’s gender rights.

has morphed from neocon oligarchs like Bush and Romney defending monied interests to fundamentalist fanatics.

Those are Establishment Republicans, the Neocon oligarch Democrats believe in themselves, this is why they’re screwing up nature. That in itself is fanatical.

In Indiana they have an open carry law, and a stand your ground law, yet the NRA ban all guns from their convention centres. Now I wonder why that is, fear may be?

God and guns always sounds strange to me.

Jesus was basically a hippie. Peace and love, turn the other cheek.

I'm assuming the rules on guns at the NRA convention will be the same as last year...

"Several news outlets have called attention to the glaring irony of America’s largest gun rights group blocking legal firearm owners from exercising their second amendment rights, in light of Tuesday’s elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. An 18-year-old gunman killed 19 children and two teachers, resurfacing the controversial gun debate that sparks up after America’s increasingly common mass shootings.

The NRA posted an announcement on its website explaining that Secret Service barred carrying firearms into the convention because several prominent Republicans ― including former President Donald Trump ― will speak there. Attendees will also have to leave their selfie sticks, toy guns, umbrellas and drones at home."

But attendees wouldn’t be able to bring their guns even if no politicians spoke at the event because the George R. Brown Convention Center itself doesn’t allow weapons of any kind on site ― a blanket restriction that includes pepper spray and mace.

So last year the NRA had a convention where they railed against gun restrictions....while holding their convention at a venue that mandates gun restrictions...

Complete, absolute hypocrites...

Jesus was a Jew, theoretically “an eye for an eye.”

Complete, absolute hypocrites...

Complete absolute cut and paste from yesterday.

Mike Pence got booed out of the room and Mike Pompeo announced he isn’t running and will support the nominee.

good news day.

Complete, absolute hypocrites...

Complete absolute cut and paste from yesterday.

And?

Maybe you can answer the question today - if the NRA opposes ALL gun restrictions, why did they choose a venue and give their (and their members) money to a location that MANADATES gun restrictions, i.e, no guns on the premises?

You know, having each speaker get up on stage and rant and rail against gun control...inside a building that prohibits guns...

Explain that...

And by 2024 will be indicted on multiple charges

Oh giving up on 2023? what happened? This was the year! Walls closing in and all that.

indicted means nothing when you can’t convict.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Explain that...

I did. Yesterday. No need to be repetitive.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

And by 2024 will be indicted on multiple charges

Oh giving up on 2023? what happened?

Might want to read that again - "By 2024" which includes 2023... Maybe a remedial English course could help...

indicted means nothing when you can’t convict.

Making "guarantees" again - like "Trump will win in a landslide"? ROFL...

Explain that...

I did. Yesterday. No need to be repetitive.

Another surrender... Not upset the NRA used your money to pay a no-gun venue?

You know, having each speaker get up on stage and rant and rail against gun control...inside a building that prohibits guns...

Explain that...

I will. You have a lot of crazy people, moles, haters of conservatives that possibly try and do something, look at it like this, prison guards usually don’t walk around the prison with weapons, because they know some of the inmates, all, but some of them could try, and do something to them, physically harm, them if they could, that is why they are banned. Same scenario. Look what happened to Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy and Robert F Kennedy, as well as Malcolm X, you should be careful, which is a separate issue of protecting someone second amendment rights.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

As a Republican I also endorse the unrelenting and non-stop mass murder of children. More blood for the blood God. I only wish Jesus had been gunned to death instead of crucified.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

That’s odd that I’m not allowed to say Trump will be re-elected in 2024.

OK, you just provided a very compelling argument for gun control... Nice to see you've changed your position...

The NRA position is still "no gun control, ever" - yet they had their convention is a location that prohibits guns...

Hypocritical?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

, “We don’t need gun control. We need crime control.”

Anyone disagree we need crime control?

Dems out to revoke the 2nd…

a straw man that makes King Kong look like a lemur…

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Great news! The fact that they refuse to even discuss overwhelmingly popular gun reform measures, even as there are daily hideous reminders of their necessity is an open sore PR disaster for the right. Add this to the attacks on minorities, the massively unpopular abortion law changes, culture wars, ridiculous election denialism, adoption of extremist voices as their brand and you have a continuing period in the political wilderness. As they cower and fall into line behind an unelectable candidate who will be lucky to stay out of prison, they become more irrelevant by the day.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

OK, you just provided a very compelling argument for gun control...

No, I provided a rational argument as to how to keep politicians, speakers, world leaders presenters, and Presidents safe without violating the 2nd amendment.

Nice to see you've changed your position...

I didn't

The NRA position is still "no gun control, ever" - yet they had their convention is a location that prohibits guns...

Hypocritical?

Not at all.

I just explained and you go around asking the same question again, then go back and re-read what I wrote for the answer.
