There has to be something seriously wrong with people who still support this narcissistic crook and clown. At the very least they are terrible judges of character.

17 ( +18 / -1 )

2/3rds of Republicans polled yesterday said they still support him.

But is it really support for him or opposition to the Democrats?

I mean, come on. The worst candidates in the history of the United States. And worst Vice-Presidential running mates.

Kamala Harris is unfit to run the vegetable section at a Walmart and can't put together a coherent sentence. She's a heartbeat away from a near-vegetable, soon-to-be 81 year old who has to be shepherded everywhere he goes.

The 5-time bankrupt, 4-time draft dodging, under felony indictment, soon-to-be 77-year old Trump is thinking of having Marjorie Taylor Greene (Nutcase, GA) as his running mate, from prison?

Why can't the US have a normal president and vice president? It's insanity.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said the indictment marked “a dark day for the United States of America" and a “grave injustice.”

Grave injustice?

‘Innocent until proven guilty’ does not mean ignore the rule of law.

There's no doubt that Trump's criminality just makes him more popular with the 30% of Americans that have been indoctrinated into the cult of MAGA...

I believe him when he says he could murder someone on 5th Ave and they'd still worship him...

That just proves how sick and radical MAGA-world is...a cult no different from those of Shoko Asahara or Jim Jones...

That's why they are so dangerous to our democracy - they're crazed, violent, and armed...

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Actually enamoring many of his followers to be bigger, bolder and more brazen.

Witness the public comments by "I was Wronged # 2" Kari Lake on Friday -

If you wanna get to President Trump, you’re gonna have to go through me, and you’re gonna have to go through 75 million Americans just like me, And I’m gonna tell you, most of us are card-carrying members of the NRA. That’s not a threat, that’s a public service announcement.”

Washington Post reporter Isaac Arnsdorf quoted Ms Lake and noted that she received a standing ovation.

Sheesh! What a Sham(ble) of a country.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Kari Lake was fired as a Fox news reader because she could barely get through a sentence on the teleprompter. She lies that she quit, but no, her contract was not renewed. Crazy times.

The term common sense , doesn't apply with those rooting for him. How much a crook, liar, thief, pervert, will these folks allow to be loose in the White House again ? Trump has sold his soul, (if he ever had one) for money. Now he wants to pull the USA down in the sewer with him. Come on people wakeup, pull your head out of his A s. Trump should be in prison for a long time..

12 ( +12 / -0 )

OK, I’m wrong. Apparently the US thinks the people running are the best and brightest America has to offer.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The article doe not quote any of the Senate Republican leadership. Perhaps they are less willing to defend the former President?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

We shouldn’t take this all seriously. It’s mathematically shown that we’re living in a simulation.

Politics is like a NASCAR race. The public sits in the stands, drinking beer, watching political cars go round and round, hoping they’ll see a crash.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

No, not really

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said the indictment marked “a dark day for the United States of America" and a “grave injustice.”

He’s right.

Grave injustice?

Bingo

‘Innocent until proven guilty’ does not mean ignore the rule of law.

No, no one is above the law, regardless if it’s Trump, Biden, Hillary, Pence…

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

It's not going to affect any right wing voters. Left wingers don't read the news, Biden should be in jail too. He just got caught hiding bribe money again!

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

No, no one is above the law, regardless if it’s Trump, Biden, Hillary, Pence…

Trump is busted though. Trump kept going after email with her 300,000 emails but there was no evidence of any crime. With Trump there is lots of evidence. BTW, any Trump person who supports Trump should send money right away. It's one thing to be a talker at JT and just whine about Trump being unfairly bused. But if you want to take action instead of just talking and complaining about it on JT then just sent money! Don't do it for America. Do it for Trump which is a lot more important than America.

Also, will Ivanka have legal trouble. What is her deal? What is her plan?

Trump faces unprecedented legal peril, but will it hurt his standing with Republican voters?

Makes us stronger.

Wonder how RFK Jr. running as a Democrat hurts Biden?

Wonder how RFK Jr. running as a Democrat hurts Biden?

Wonder if Biden I’ll even be the nominee

For myself, I find Trump extremely entertaining. He is a lot of fun to watch. I wouldn't vote for him in a million years, but he sells a lot of popcorn. He certainly isn't boring. And that's the thing. It is better for the country when a politician is boring, but it is better for the TV companies when a politician is entertaining.

"Kamala Harris is unfit......."

A ridiculous statement that falls into the category of "repeat a lie often enough, a people will start to believe it." She is highly educated, very experienced, hard working, and extremely fit for just about anything she puts her mind to.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

If Biden doesn't run and they put Harris in the ballot

No chance in hell they'll do that.

There was the "They think we are all evil and stupid" thing the other day.

Not "and", it's "or".

Either one is stupid enough to think that 60 courts and multiple recounts, including by the humorously named "Cyber Ninjas" were wrong, that launching a coup and advocating for the assassination of elected officials isn't wrong, OR one is evil enough to know the difference and to just not care.

So it's an either/or thing.

The only way to be evil AND stupid is for one to not care about the facts AND think that there is not going to be a reckoning, that knowing what we all know, that Trump still has a snowball's chance in HELL (where he will be taking up residence shortly) in EITHER court or in an election.

Hilarious!

What law are you referring to?!?!?

Dems do

I think since Musk bought out Twitter we are a lot smarter and understand more of what and why this all happened.

The only way to be evil AND stupid is for one to not care about the facts

Dems care about facts???

AND think that there is not going to be a reckoning, that knowing what we all know, that Trump still has a snowball's chance in HELL (where he will be taking up residence shortly) in EITHER court or in an election.

I am not so sure about that one.

During the Manhattan indictment, our MAGA-friends would tell us that "Jonathan Turley" said this or that - that he was a legal expert that saw it the way it was...someone whose opinion was valued...

OK, this is what he said on Fox about Trump's classified indictment;

*Speaking about the images from Mar-a-Lago of the boxes of documents found in a ballroom and a bathroom, in addition to other less-than-ideal places, Mr Turley said, “It's really breathtaking. *Obviously, this is mishandling. Putting the classified documents into ballrooms and bathrooms borders on the bizarre. And these are the types of pictures that hit you below the waterline in a trial.

*“It's hard to show a picture of these boxes surrounding a toilet and saying ‘we really acted responsibly,’” he added, going on to note that *“the government is bringing dozens of counts – they only have to land one of those punches”.

“Keep in mind that every one of these counts is coming with a substantial potential sentence,” Mr Turley said.

“It is an extremely damning indictment”.

Glad to see the MAGA-faithful hold his opinion in such high regard...

Will Trump have the mental capacity to deal with the numerous court cases and also campaign?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

I think since Musk bought out Twitter we are a lot smarter and understand more of what and why this all happened.

Smart? Now worth one-third of when it was purchased. $15 billion.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Even Bill Barr now going on the record to say that the indictment is 100% warranted and extremely damning.

Of course the Church of Donald religious zealots will be now calling him a "never trumper"

9 ( +9 / -0 )

William Barr blowing his Trumpet.

Donald Trump is an enigma, to some, many a charlatan, everything that is despicable to Joe Biden.

The reality is Trump is a business man with debatable success.

Trump is neither a diplomat or a politician.

No matter what office he holds.

Could it not be that US cultural need for recognizable, rah-rah ambition, trumps the need to question such endeavors.

To witness and fully comprehend the fact that Trump is just a moment in time.

Joe Biden government, I suggest paranoic need to jail, suffocate Trump in a ludicrous belief that Trump is a political bogeyman that has to be scorched irradiated out of history is fools errand, and I contend will come back to haunt US politics for years to come.

OK, tell us something she has done.

She was given a single task stemming migration at the border. Complete and utter failure. The best she can muster in any situation is an awkward laugh. She went to a place 800 miles away from where the crisis is once, laughed and said, “Don’t come.”

Who doesn't want Trump to be president again?

Who was president when the trade dispute with China began?

Why was Biden compelled to take over that line?

Why was Biden's son's Ukraine allegations buried in the dark?

There are many people at home and abroad who would not be comfortable with Trump as president.

Even if it is an election result, it can be said that it is a defeat of democracy not to criticize the Biden jump and not think that it is strange that most of the media criticize Trump all at once.

Who doesn't want Trump to be president again?

Rational people.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

trump has no idea how much trouble it is in.

it believes he is untouchable, it really believes that.

a traitor, a grifter, twice impeached, one term, draft dodging loser.

now he is facing all its wrong-doings with a shrug.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

His arraignment may be delayed now because he can't find a lawyer who will represent him. He has a history of not paying lawyers, he thinks they should do it for nothing for the publicity. All the millions of dollars collected from his minions for his defense goes into his pocket.

And wait until the other criminal shoe drops in Georgia.

He's been spinning plates for years and there will be too many plates to handle. Couldn't happen to nicer guy.

No, no one is above the law, regardless if it’s Trump, Biden, Hillary, Pence…

So, you can stop complaining about 45’s indictment then. As you said, no one is above the law.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Of course it won’t. Trump lovers are cultists. They deny the evidence in front of their own eyes. They think Jan 6 was a peaceful field trip. They will say something in writing then deny they ever said it. One worshipper on JT said:

So Biden is supposedly going to beat Trump.

Ignoring the fact that Biden beating Trump is not outlandish. Because it already happened once.

No, not really

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said the indictment marked “a dark day for the United States of America" and a “grave injustice.”

He’s right.

What makes it 'dark day' is the fact that trump was caught red-handed with stolen federal documents, many of them Top Secret. NO previous POTUS ever committed crimes of magnitude ever in history. In the Navy I had a Secret level clearance and missing and/or stealing classified documents, let alone this amount and LYING about it all and obstructing justice are mega-serious Federal offenses that can land you in the slammer! He's no different, in fact as C0in0C he had greater responsibility for it all. It's a 'dark day' because NO one in the WH has ever been so criminal, irresponsible, treacherous, treasonous, terroristic, egomaniacal, dictatorial, repulsive, disgusting, reckless, immature, and possessing other evil and negative traits before as Donald Jerk Trump. Those who trashed Nixon all those years ago know that trump makes Nixon look like a saint or an angel.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Only a couple of a hundred Trump supporters turned up at the Miami Federal Court House when Trump was charged with Federal crimes. There was nothing like the 50,000 expected.

The first (ex-)President charged with Federal crimes.
