Imagine what crimes this clown could commit if elected again.

The indictment enmeshes the Justice Department in the most politically explosive prosecution in its long history. Its first case against a former president upends a Republican presidential primary that Trump is currently dominating, and any felony charges would raise the prospect of a yearslong prison sentence.

Easy prediction: this coming election cycle is going to be the most chaotic in American history since the Civil War.

Damn Damn Damn

Give that man an orange jumpsuit and a cage at Guantanamo!

Easy prediction: this coming election cycle is going to be the most chaotic in American history since the Civil War.

Extremely chaotic..

Making easer China's job to get first place as economic power in the world..

-25 ( +6 / -31 )

7 counts.

45 making records again.

Certainly a ‘unique’ US President in many ways.

23 ( +28 / -5 )

another witch hunt, hell never be indicted. were is that crowd now. LOL

Jack Smith is just getting started

27 ( +33 / -6 )

Making easer China's job to get first place as economic power in the world..

Off topic but China has a full plate and then some. They are not likely to outgrow the US in our lifetime, or anyone's. Some of us older members have been to this rodeo before. Copying what other nations did is a good deal easier than being a leader. China under Xi Jinping is becoming very rigid. Liberal democracies are messy and look chaotic, all the things Xi Jinping detests, but it is that cauldron of energy one finds in these messy democracies that let people imagine new ideas, debate them freely, invest in them and bring them to fruition. China is good at copying but terrible at innovating. Their rigidity will bring them down.

20 ( +24 / -4 )

All this does is guarantee him the Republican nomination even more than before. His support will grow.

-23 ( +9 / -32 )

Bass whining in 3....2...1....

Garland will never indict Trump,

I never said that, maga denying one think claiming they said the opposite, just like their orange jesus

15 ( +21 / -6 )

“But compared with Trump, there are key differences in the facts and legal issues surrounding Biden’s and Pence’s handling of documents, including that representatives for both men say the documents were returned as soon as they were found.”

This paragraph is very important. I’d hope you know who reads it before the whattabouts begin.

16 ( +20 / -4 )

We all knew these indictments were coming - even though our MAGA-friends here continued to try to deflect or downplay them....

Within 20 minutes of his announcement, Trump, who said he was due in court Tuesday afternoon, had begun fundraising off it for his 2024 presidential campaign. He declared in a video, “I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!” and repeated his familiar refrain that the investigation is a “witch hunt.”

Gee, who'd a thunk that - Trump trying to grift off his indictments...

Trump has insisted that he was entitled to keep the classified documents when he left the White House, and has also claimed without evidence that he had declassified them.

Well, actually it's a little more involved than that. 1) First he said they were classified and he was authorized to take them. 2) He then said he would give them all back. 3) He lied when he said he gave them all back. 4) He flipped and then said he declassified them all by "thinking". 4) He flipped again and said he only took unclassified folders. 5) He was then caught on tape admitting they were in fact classified and that he couldn't share them. Let him get on the stand and explain that...

Since then, the Justice Department has amassed additional evidence and secured grand jury testimony from people close to Trump, including his own lawyers. The statutes governing the handling of classified records and obstruction are felonies that could carry years in prison in the event of a conviction.

Violation of the Espionage Act, Obstruction of Justice, Illegal Retention of Classified...and add on additional charges and indictments for the insurrection investigation that Mark Meadows is now cooperating with...

It's not the White House he's headed for, its "The Big House"...

Bye-Don, Hello Leavenworth....

22 ( +26 / -4 )

he really should have just called these new allegations "malarkey".

that seems to be the magic word to stop any DOJ investigations immediately.

-30 ( +7 / -37 )

Would you please pass the indicted my rear for obstruction?

17 ( +19 / -2 )

including the retention of national defense information, destruction of government records and obstruction of an investigation.

Note that none of these have anything to do with whether the documents were classified or not.

20 ( +22 / -2 )

Trump is supposed to immediately go to jail in NY,if he charges and bail.is revoke Google NY Bail Revocation When Rearrested

-12 ( +4 / -16 )

for both men say the documents were returned as soon as they were found.”

the law makes no differentiation between having them illegally and having them illegally but kindly returning them when they are found by others.

-30 ( +4 / -34 )

An indictment's been a long time coming (some Americans have waited a frustrating 50 years for this moment), but there's a long haul ahead before we'll get to see this serial scofflaw dressed in matching orange. By the time he's been made to jump through all the legal hoops of the absurdly long litigation process for the moneyed and well-connected, he'll be, conveniently for America's political establishment, either too old or too sick to lock up. "Heck of a job", Biden's DOJ!

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Easy prediction: this coming election cycle is going to be the most chaotic in American history since the Civil War.

We don't have an insurrectionist leading the federal government, though. November 6th might be interesting, though, if the voters who went third party can't understand why they screwed the republic.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

the law makes no differentiation between having them illegally and having them illegally but kindly returning them when they are found by others.

And yet Trump got indicted.

15 ( +21 / -6 )

All this does is guarantee him the Republican nomination even more than before. His support will grow

great because hell never win the 2024 election, moderate republicans , independents are dumping Trump in the millions

20 ( +25 / -5 )

His poll numbers roared up on the "hush money" indictment.

NY civil case still an upward trajectory.

This time they will go into orbit...

-24 ( +5 / -29 )

the law makes no differentiation between having them illegally and having them illegally but kindly returning them when they are found by others.

Do you think that is the charge?

I’d think it has more to do with obstruction and conspiracy to commit crime.

18 ( +21 / -3 )

Amazing day. I think Mr. Trump will be hoisted by his own petard, convicted by his own careless public statements. If the man knew how to keep his yap shut and knew how to act humble when he was initially caught with classified documents he would not face legal jeopardy.

It reminds me of what my dad always used to tell me as a kid about Watergate (my parents made me sit and watch the hearings in Congress telling me what I was seeing was history, indeed !) that the break in itself was not a big deal. They should have copped to it and it would have blown over in a couple of weeks. Maybe a couple of misdemeanors and / or some probation. But the cover up that cost Richard Nixon the Presidency and put some of his aids in jail.

If Mr. Trump had been cooperative and apologetic like his VP and President Biden where when their properties were searched for classified records he would not face prosecution. But he lied and appears to have engaged in a conspiracy to hide classified documents for reasons I simply cannot fathom (I have had occasion to handle classified materials and I treat them like they are radioactive, handle them the bare minimum necessary to accomplish my job and follow every procedure to the letter). I can understand they ended up in some boxes sent to Florida due to the chaotic nature of the turnover, but were it me, if I found classified docs among my stuff I would be making arrangements to get them the H E double L out of my home and to a secure place while apologizing profusely, not making up stories that he could declassify them just by thinking about it.

21 ( +24 / -3 )

"President Joe Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence both recently found classified papers at their homes from their time as vice president — it's a common occurrence in White House transitions. But Trump's case appears to be far more serious, because of the sheer volume of classified records involved..."

Oh its a common thing now. I see.

and its ok to have "some" documents, just not a lot.

not what the law says.

-25 ( +6 / -31 )

he really should have just called these new allegations "malarkey".

that seems to be the magic word to stop any DOJ investigations immediately.

If I call malarky on your post will that stop you :) Just asking ........^_^

17 ( +21 / -4 )

he is still free???

13 ( +14 / -1 )

How can he not get jail time?

Check out the story of Robert Birchum, six combat deployments, 29 years of service, decorated. Hid classified documents in multiple locations just like Trump, a four-time draft dodger.

Birchum came clean admitted his crimes with remorse and received a 3-year prison sentence because of his cooperation.

It’s irrelevant that Trump is a former president or running for president.

”Equal justice under law” - the inscription on the blindfolded statue holding the scales of justice at the Supreme Court.

16 ( +19 / -3 )

This indictment and all the others to come are all self-inflicted, all derive from one indisputable fact and all have one simple explanation: Trump had neither the character, temperament or intelligence to even learn on the job how to perform the work as Potus or even act presidential. We all know such mutton heads - they are to be encountered in every work place.

15 ( +18 / -3 )

well, all I can say more is see you in court.

next year, right in the middle of the election cycle, to attempt to benefit both Joe Biden and Trump's rival for the nomination.

hes still going to win, this just further solidifies his support and drives voter turnout.

have fun with your article!

-24 ( +5 / -29 )

Blacklabel, why have I not benefited from this two tier, when Black seek justice,it just US,only two tier system is the rich get better representations, Trump should of felt the will of Justice decades ago

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

and its ok to have "some" documents, just not a lot.

not what the law says.

Ok then. So you have 2 options.

Either the DOJ drop all charges and you stop whining about Biden

or you have to accept that 45 is guilty of the same crime you want Biden to be charged with and suck it up.

Personally I don’t care if Biden is charged. I believe all crime should be investigated. But not all at the same time. And lack of progress in another case certainly shouldn’t be used as justification to stop a current investigation. That would be ridiculous.

18 ( +21 / -3 )

well, all I can say more is see you in court.

Do you think he'll mount a defense this time?

9 ( +12 / -3 )

The charges against Trump include obstruction. That's one key difference from others that is part of the indictment.

Another important fact was the recording where he admitted to having documents in his possession, documents that still have not been returned.

I'm listening to CNN right now. One of Trump's lawyers is giving the standard 101 of, "they just hate Trump so they're making up charges." Plus disingenuous comparisons to other people. Plus character assassinations on Garland and Smith. I'm assuming that's going to be the primary talking points for Trump fans and the Right overall during this process.

The good news is that Mitch McConnell and other Repubs will be powerless in stopping this, unlike last time where they put politics above country. So that stain won't be revisited.

This will be tried by a judge and a jury and I'm glad to see it. If Trump gets off, so be it. I'll take that consequence as long as it follows the rules of our legal system.

Right now, the Founding Fathers are fist pumping in their graves.

19 ( +21 / -2 )

Another witch hunt about to commence. Lol

-37 ( +5 / -42 )

This time they will go into orbit...

keep dreaming thatll save Trump, hell never win the 2024 election, once all the litigation is over, Next up

Blacklabel

he really should have just called these new allegations "malarkey".

that seems to be the magic word to stop any DOJ investigations immediately.

Biden didn't do what Trump has been indicted with. Period. That's why Biden and Pence haven't been indicted.

17 ( +19 / -2 )

So long "well-done".

Bye-Bye "Burnt toast"

HELLO Atomic element carbon!

Cause that is all that is going to be left of him when Jack Smith is finished.

He didn't come on a whim. He has the goods and is loaded for bloated elephant.

He has the docs. He has the witness testimony. He has the idiot's OWN WORDS ON TAPE.

So long, Don. You are going to burn for this one. And the rest of your life in solitary is not even close to what you deserve for what you have attempted to do to American Democracy.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

This time they will go into orbit...

They'll be orbiting the porcelain bathroom fixture

11 ( +13 / -2 )

well, all I can say more is see you in court.

next year, right in the middle of the election cycle, to attempt to benefit both Joe Biden and Trump's rival for the nomination.

hes still going to win, this just further solidifies his support and drives voter turnout.

have fun with your article!

Will do! Don't let us keep you from your multi-level marketing "seminar".

14 ( +16 / -2 )

Trump should of been indicted in the Trump Russian probe, but you had a bunch of butt prosecutor, they conspired

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Bass4,well I guess Trump is the wicked witch of MAGA

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Oh my goodness, and a here we go!

all I’ll say to double B is that overly cautious Merrick Garland wouldn’t have signed off on this if he wasn’t pretty damned confident

12 ( +14 / -2 )

It's about time. Any other person in the world would've been sitting in prison years ago.

16 ( +18 / -2 )

Bottom line is Donald Trump is going to be prosecuted due to his own wretched ego and stupidity. His own words will convict him. It didn't have to be this way either but he is too vain and he has that salesman's bad habit of coming up with lies on the fly to close the deal thinking nobody will challenge him to ever say he messed up and ask forgiveness. He has never faced an experienced criminal prosecutor like this before.

Jack Smith is someone who prosecuted war crimes at the Hague, led the Public Integrity Division successfully prosecuting Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, U.S. Representative Rick Renzi, New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, and Jeffrey Sterling, a CIA agent who shared national secrets. This before heading off to a four-year term as chief prosecutor for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, investigating war crimes committed in the Kosovo War, including the case of Salih Mustafa. He took up the post on September 11, 2018, and was appointed to a second term on May 8, 2022. This is a prosecutor accustomed to prosecuting high public officials including international war crimes.

I don't think Donald Trump knows what he's up against and I also don't think at this point, considering his history, he can hire the caliber of attorney who could defend him successfully.

21 ( +23 / -2 )

well, all I can say more is see you in court.

Indeed - that's what these indictments say - a grand jury has determined there is sufficient evidence you committed a crime(s) and that you should stand trial...

next year, right in the middle of the election cycle, to attempt to benefit both Joe Biden and Trump's rival for the nomination.

Which rival - the "Groomer"?

hes still going to win, this just further solidifies his support and drives voter turnout.

With the 30% who are true MAGA-cultists? Likely accurate. Trump could have taken the Iran invasion classified doc he bragged about on tape and given it to The Mullahs in exchange for a Trump Tehran Casino and Resort and you still wouldn't care...

have fun with your article!

Have fun at the trial - want to bet how many "I plead the 5th" he'll take at this one? Maybe he can beat his record in the Weisselberg case - 400 times...

ROFL...

12 ( +15 / -3 )

He will have his day in court. Or rather many of them, it would seem.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

well I guess Trump is the wicked witch of MAGA

Not like I was surprised and?

-19 ( +5 / -24 )

And somewhere out there, DeSantis is smiling...

14 ( +17 / -3 )

Lock him up! Lock him up! Lock him up!

14 ( +19 / -5 )

Theoretically, a person in jail can win the election for presidency. bwahaha.

The Republicans are so stupid, he's their candidate, and gets more popular by being indicted as a criminal. Which is fitting. Republicans lie and embrace criminality as a rule of Nixon and beyond.

Ain't no witch hunt, too much proof. I don't expect people who support treason against our constitution by way of supporting the insurrection to ever believe Trump's guilt nor his wrong doing on anything.

America is definitely split up, especially if the evidence shows Trump to be guilty, and his followers continue to defend him with their witch hunt and other silly juvenile words that comfort themselves. LOL.

Trump is detrimental to America, and ultimately to his followers, but they abhor the idea they're being made a fool of by his criminal actions and support thereof. They can't be wrong because they'll just give their second version of their two opposite in reality truths.

15 ( +18 / -3 )

Election interference.

No mens rea.

And Trump's supporters grow more emboldened.

-22 ( +5 / -27 )

willful retention of national defense information

Good luck proving the willful and knowingly components.

Russian Collusion!

-21 ( +3 / -24 )

A criminal conspiracy involves planning between at least two people to act in an unlawful or harmful purpose.

I’m sure the DOJ neglected to consider that…

that 45 didn’t get arrested upon return to Mar a Lago means the DOJ has spent the last two and a half years crossing their T’s and dotting their I’s.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Conspiracy to commit a crime?

Not in the US.

A criminal conspiracy involves planning between at least two people to act in an unlawful or harmful purpose.

You really need to read more about this case. Once the 7 counts have been formally announced you will see conspiracy included among them. Guaranteed.

12 ( +15 / -3 )

Try the former Insurrectionist-in-Chief, convict him and put him away for the rest of his natural life.

We the People of the United States of America deserve better.

9 ( +13 / -4 )

Good luck proving the willful and knowingly components.

would be a bit more convincing if he he hadn’t done just that. Remember I can declassify by thinking about it?

no, no he can’t.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

crossing their T’s and dotting their I’s.

They have visual evidence, after a subpoena to give up the documents, Trump is attempting to move and hide the documents before the FBI comes. How dumb is Trump to have visual evidence from his own home part of the indictment. Even Nixon deleted evidence. LOL.

They looked in the cookie jar, Trump has a huge one to fit all his Big Macs in, and found classified docs mixed in with some stale french fries.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

You really need to read more about this case.

Are you saying less than two people can commit a criminal conspiracy in the US?

You need to learn more about US law, instead of just mimicking headline news.

-21 ( +3 / -24 )

Election interference.

45’s behavior from election night to the present is election interference, RKL.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

It's only a "witch hunt" when it involves anything he is accused of doing. When it's someone else, it's just "justice being served".

I wonder how much money he has been paying all his lawyers?

10 ( +13 / -3 )

Jan 6. THAT is election interference.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Republicans really have problems when the courts are not public opinion or in Congress. They can convict with their media which is meaningless, and they can acquit with politically charged decisions. The good news is that GOP convictions don't carry any kind of jail time.

Democrats do it the other way around. They get indictments and convictions in court with prosecutors, judges, and evidence. Or baseless GOP accusations are thrown out by judges, as they should be.

I like our way better.

12 ( +15 / -3 )

Another good reason for a celebratory drink tonight. I feel like I am going to have a few more of these nights too.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

Are you saying less than two people can commit a criminal conspiracy in the US?

are you saying Trump communicated with no one regarding his classified doc cooperation? That’s news to his lawyers and staff.

you really think the DOJ hasn’t considered any of this? Really?

12 ( +14 / -2 )

willful retention of national defense information

Good luck proving the willful and knowingly components.

They don't need luck, they have mountains of evidence...

1) An insider at Mar-A-Lago is cooperating and outlining Trump's efforts to move boxes around and conceal the classified from a search...

2) One of his lawyers stated in writing to the DOJ that "no classified documents remain at Mar-A-Lago" - and then the FBI finds 104 more one month later...

3) Trump is caught on tape admitting he has classified and can't share it contradicting all his previous public statements that he was authorized to take it, he declassified it by "thinking about it", and he didn't take any classified, just empty folders...

4) Trump's CoS Mark Meadows who supervised packing the classified from the White House has now flipped and is cooperating with the DOJ...

Just ask your former MAGA-hero Bill Barr - Trump is toast...

14 ( +16 / -2 )

Trump is a polarizing figure. Funny how everyone loved him until he ran and won. Then the full power of the proganda machine went to work. Suddenly he’s the whipping boy. it’s obvious to me and I was a staunch Obama supporter. Justice is not severe when it’s political. BTW the comments

I support the left. (+20,-5)

I support the right (+5, -20)

I support the truth, logic and common sense ( ??? )

-17 ( +3 / -20 )

Itd be interesting to see him in the White House again. Not that I like the guy, but itd just go to show how completely messed up the US is right now.

-15 ( +2 / -17 )

But he didn't do anything and everyone else is lying. Clearly. Can a felon run for any Elected Office? Washington DC elected a drug addict as mayor.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Republicans really have problems when the courts are not public opinion or in Congress. They can convict with their media which is meaningless, and they can acquit with politically charged decisions.

Seems like Dem political witch hunt prosecutions and charges are always limited until a Republican with some sense comes in and overturns their convictions.

The good news is that GOP convictions don't carry any kind of jail time.

That’s coming don’t worry.

Democrats do it the other way around. They get indictments and convictions in court with prosecutors, judges, and evidence.

No, they get the flimsiest of evidence, and then, when some of their own are cues to do the same crimes, with the help of law enforcement agencies, and the DOJ, they will cherry pick the loss of people to use to go up against their enemies and convict them.

Or baseless GOP accusations are thrown out by judges, as they should be.

That would depend on what it is

And somewhere out there, DeSantis is smiling...

I seriously doubt that.

-21 ( +3 / -24 )

Within 20 minutes of his announcement, Trump, who said he was due in court Tuesday afternoon, began fundraising off it for his 2024 presidential campaign

I recommend all Trump supporters donate yet again to this enormously successful billionaire.

He needs you.

19 ( +20 / -1 )

Americans are not as dumb as the (mostly foreign) posters here hope they are.

-25 ( +1 / -26 )

Trump is a polarizing figure. Funny how everyone loved him until he ran and won. Then the full power of the proganda machine went to work. Suddenly he’s the whipping boy. it’s obvious to me and I was a staunch Obama supporter. Justice is not served when it’s political.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

Are you saying less than two people can commit a criminal conspiracy in the US?

You need to learn more about US law, instead of just mimicking headline news.

Are you saying you think he acted alone in refusing to return the documents and that nobody else knew about it?

Think about it.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Belrick: Why not Biden for the thousands of documents he has ILLEGALLY?

Because that would be an investigation by a kangaroo court with it being so obviously a witch hunt to keep him out of office!

10 ( +12 / -2 )

Americans are not as dumb as the (mostly foreign) posters here hope they are.

uh, apparently some are.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

Americans are not as dumb as the (mostly foreign) posters here hope they are.

Certainly not dumb enough to be taken in by a moronic charlatan again. And not dumb enough to think that all the evidence before their eyes amounts to a witch hunt.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

bass4funk

Seems like Dem political witch hunt prosecutions and charges are always limited until a Republican with some sense comes in and overturns their convictions.

The Dems aren't involved here. They have nothing to do with this.

No, they get the flimsiest of evidence, and then,

From what I hear, it's pretty solid evidence.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Americans are not as dumb as the (mostly foreign) posters here hope they are.

naw. I'm American and think a country with many incredulously thinly veiled intelligence, even begins to believe and support all the lies of Fox and Trump spew, and then go into their echo chamber repeat slop is really dumb.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Remember when Trump called Putin a genius for invading Ukraine the day after it happened?

Wouldn’t you like to know what Trump and Putin discussed in secret?

Trump is bad for freedom and a sucker for Putin.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

Funny how everyone loved him until he ran and won.

Only the dumb one's. Ignorance is bliss.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

Americans are neither dumb enough to re-elect Biden while ignoring his corruption nor dumb enough to not vote for Trump just because of yet another hyperpartisan DOJ indictment.

Yeah, that ain’t why we won’t vote for 45…for someone so sharp and witty you’re bewilderingly thick.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

so this indictment changes anyones mind on either side?

or the two more they will do when this one doesn’t work either?

lol. Nope.

-22 ( +2 / -24 )

The "I declassified them" line by Trump is so bizarre, like when he said he wanted to give himself the Medal of Honor. Galactic level whackiness.

I wonder why no one in the press has asked him, "OK, tell us some of those declassified secrets, since they're declassified..."

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Trump has repeatedly insisted that he was entitled to keep the classified documents when he left the White House, and has also claimed without evidence that he had declassified them.

I am no Trump fan, but isn’t the burden of proof the other way around? If he says he declassified them, who and how can it be proven that he did it?

This seems frivolous, but if it does help lead to an election not involving Trump that’d be a positive. Makes America look bad though.

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

Blacklabel

so this indictment changes anyones mind on either side?

or the two more they will do when this one doesn’t work either?

lol. Nope.

Not what the polling says. Sure, Trump's base will stick with him no matter what. And Dems and never Trumps won't change their mind. But a lot of independents are ditching Trump because of his legal troubles.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Will these people stop at nothing to prevent Trump walking all over them next November?

I guess so...

-24 ( +1 / -25 )

I am no Trump fan, but isn’t the burden of proof the other way around? If he says he declassified them, who and how can it be proven that he did it?

Except he didn't declassify them, and even declassifying them doesn't give him the right to hold on to them. Besides, he's on tape acknowledging the documents weren't declassified.

16 ( +18 / -2 )

bass4funk

From what I hear, it's pretty solid evidence.

Uh-huh…lol

if that’s the case, then Biden and Pence are in trouble

Show me where Biden or Pence retained of national defense information. They didn't. So not in trouble.

15 ( +17 / -2 )

If he says he declassified them, who and how can it be proven that he did it?

Because there is a process of 3 branches of government and unlike what Trump thinks, the president can't do whatever he want and believe it's official. He can't just declassify docs after stealing them, either, especially since he was no longer president.

The other thing is the docs have classified stamped on them. That kinda hurts he didn't think of going to Kinkos and having a declassified stamp made. It wouldn't have been official if anyone investigated the stamp, but Trump wouldn't care nor understand why the stamp he made isn't actually binding. LOL.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Show me where Biden or Pence retained of national defense information. They didn't. So not in trouble.

Well, when you look at the documents alone that Pence had had no authorization for it, Biden had them all over his Corvette and unsecure, the reason why I did not in trouble, because you have a two-tiered justice system, the Democrats are not out for justice. They’re out to only get one person and that’s Trump, this is the reason why people don’t trust the FBI and DOJ.

-24 ( +1 / -25 )

I hope those disgusted by this travesty of justice have got their credit cards out.

Anything less would be dereliction of duty.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

The evidence is rock solid. Docs, Testimony, Videos, The Idiot's own words.

Jack Smith wouldn't go there without the goods. He isn't some disbarred drunk like Rudy after all.

Double B said this day would never happen. I said it would.

I was right. They were wrong.

Now they say there will be no conviction. I say that short of jury nullification, death, or stoke rendering him incapable of participating in his own defense, a conviction is about as certain as a sun rise, or at least as certain as one can get in criminal matters.

And they say that he will never go to prison.

I say IF he is convicted given the magnitude of the crimes and the consequences for democracy, there will be no alternative BUT incarceration, likely for the rest of his miserable disgusting "life."

Double B has been wrong on almost everything other than the black swan event of 16.

Given the objective reality in front of us to say nothing of their track record, I like my predictions more than theirs.

But no retention of national defense information, so irrelevant.

And next comes 1/6, then GA, then possibly Criminal charges personally for Trump Org Fraud.

Just set the oven to "carbon" because this guy is a goner.

And he did it all to himself.

This is banana-republic stuff, full-stop.

No. This is a nonsensical argument.

Biden returned the documents. He didn't repeatedly lie to investigators about having the documents. Trump did. He even knew he wasn't supposed to have them. There are tapes.

18 ( +19 / -1 )

Unlike Trump, Biden didn't have 100 Top Secret documents.

After the materials were discovered at the think tank, Biden’s personal attorneys immediately alerted the White House counsel’s office, which notified NARA, which took custody of the documents the next day.

Honestly - Who cares anymore. Trump is a joke. Biden is a joke, the US is becoming an ungovernable mess.

Its horribly polarized (just look at the comments of Blacklabel vs Superlib for example above) - Totally blinded by the extreme right and left. No room for compromise at all.

Next year the US could turn even more violent once the Primaries are in full swing and will ONLY get worse whoever prevails (likely Trump) come November.

The US is in fact becoming a Banana republic.

This case will come down to jury selection.

The law is clear. The evidence is overwhelming. He broke the law. His own lawyer was forced to testify against him.

His only plays are:

Jury nullification - FL may not be DC but he is going to have to get a true rube in order to get them to just ignore all the hard evidence.

A stroke or some other catastrophic malady that prevents him from participating in his defense. (Interestingly enough, this is his best play at an acquittal since it would his lawyers to actually work without him sandbagging him.)

Play for time and hope that he wins the election and just cancels the case - "I hereby cancel this case." This is he play. But it is not going to work because Americans hate cheaters. Americans hate losers. And Americans REALLY hate people who try to get away with crimes that we all know they committed.

If (big if) he makes it to a general election, Biden is going to kick his ass so badly, he will have to defecate standing up. And no amount of the "Sleepy Joe" BS is going to change the fact that Trump is not reviled - he is hated by the vast majority of the electorate.

He is going to lose the election if he even makes it that far.

He is going to be convicted.

He is going to prison.

And if the goobers want to riot about that, they won't get off as lucky as last time.

Lock him up.

This case will come down to jury selection.

I managed to digress a bit.

This case will be decided at jury selection. If Jack Smith can get 12 people who are willing to decide the case based on the evidence he presents, Trump will spend the rest of his life in prison.

It's that simple.

The second act was always going to be the best.

Worth re-posting...

Joey, Mikey, and Don all went to the library…

When they get home, Joey and Mikey found that they accidentally took several books without checking them out.  They immediately notified the library and told the librarian.  Then they brought all the books back voluntarily.  Lastly, they said the librarian could visit their homes and look for any other library books….

Don took a whole bunch of books home - on purpose.  When the librarian saw so many books were missing she called Don - Don refused to answer the phone.  The Librarian went to Don’s house - Don refused to answer the door.  The librarian persisted so Don finally met with her - Don said the books were all his, not the library’s, even though they had the library's stamp on them.  Don then said he would return the books - so he gave some back.  Don and his parents wrote a letter saying clearly that no more library books were at his house.  But a housekeeper at the house called the Library and said there were more books that Don didn't return.  The Library asked the police to search and they found 104 more books.  Don then said he changed all the library books to his by “thinking” about it.  Don then changed his story again to say he didn’t take any books - just the book covers. Later, Don was caught on tape saying he knew he had library books...proving all his previous stories were just a lie...

Don is in real trouble…

so this indictment changes anyones mind on either side?

The difference is: those who said Trump was a liar and a crook are one step closer to being proven right, again. MAGAts are the ones with fingers in their ears going “lalalala evidence isn’t important reality is whatever my lord and master Trump tells me it is”

And they were all porn since he can't read. They were all of a woman named stormy.

why would there be any compromise with a group of people who think you are stupid and evil and incessantly tell you so over and over? well until your own side of the story is censored and then you are mocked for being censored while others allowed to keep spouting their one sided insults/attacks/falsehoods.

No compromise any more. its my way or your way. I win, I stay you leave. You win, you stay I leave.

this is the time to have a final decision for the direction of our country at a ballot box in a fair election held by the laws in place.

What a circus USA is these days.

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

Next could be a busy time for Trump in the courts. Document charges. Jan 6. Georgia. New Court. Nothing about a convict not becoming president but how to serve from prison.

Trump is a despicable human being, a criminal and an idiot. The fact he has so many and varied fights with the law all across the US, shows the type of individual he is and that he truly believes he is above the law. Not the sort of person any sane or intelligent person would ever vote for unless they stood to personally gain by it.

Send him to jail and throw away the parole option. He should end his days behind bars as a criminal. Including not letting him out for failing health reasons. He would jump all over that in a second to get out while not sick at all.

Sweet justice that Trump was indicted by a grand jury in deep red Florida...

I'm sure all our MAGA-friends here will tell us, contrary to their previous posts, that Florida is now a bastion of far-left Liberals...

One has to wonder if the guy Trump called a "Groomer" and is his primary political rival maybe used some of his considerable influence in his state to further push this indictment...

Hmmmm....

One Trump Desantis insult has come true though....Trump said DeSantis has filled the state with "misery and despair".....

You can bet there's a whole lot of misery and despair in Mar-A-Lago now - and a whole bunch of fear....

The evidence is rock solid. Docs, Testimony, Videos, The Idiot's own words.

According to Smith? Shouldn’t he recuse himself since he’s compromised and has a personal vendetta against the former president?

Jack Smith wouldn't go there

Yes, he would especially hearing some of the disparaging comments he made a out Trump in the past

Double B said this day would never happen. I said it would.

I said, he’s not going to prison.

I was right.

So was I

Now they say there will be no conviction. I say that short of jury nullification, death, or stoke rendering him incapable of participating in his own defense, a conviction is about as certain as a sun rise, or at least as certain as one can get in criminal matters.

Again, if Garland wants to paint a bullseye on his back for himself and Democrats going forward, go for it. I wish he would.

And they say that he will never go to prison.

Yes

I say IF he is convicted given the magnitude of the crimes

What crimes? If you go by these so called political crimes then I submit to you Biden and Pence are next, if not these so called political hack will have to explain to other sane lawyers why Trump’s so-called crimes are different. Good luck with that, thank God Trump hired some of the best lawyers that will challenge the merits of this case.

and the consequences for democracy, there will be no alternative BUT incarceration, likely for the rest of his miserable disgusting "life."

Won’t happen

Double B has been wrong on almost everything

No, not at all

Given the objective reality in front of us to say nothing of their track record, I like my predictions more than theirs.

I would say, you’re so far off, but now that the Dems control the WH and have the keys to the care Well, of course things will go their way, but that’s not going to last. It never, ever does. The Dems lost the House and the Senate is on shaky grounds for the Dems. They know they’re on a time clock.

Trump "I’m an innocent man." Like the other 2.5 million people in prisons.

We will bring our candidate. Donald J. Trump.

your candidate tried to overthrow the government and has no right to run.

good news for you is that there are other GOP candidates who could actually win if your goal is actually just getting rid of Biden.

Thats not the actual goal, is it?

why would there be any compromise with a group of people who think you are stupid and evil and incessantly tell you so over and over?

you’ve certainly gone above and beyond to convince us of that, Mr. Brand Ambassador
