The two men have clashed for years but a recent comment by a Meta executive suggesting that Twitter was not run "sanely" irked Musk, eventually leading to the two men offering each other out for a cage fight.

Just saw a promo for this on J-TV so it looks like this battle of the billionaires is heating up.

It is time to stop coddling the billionaire so-called job creators with corporate welfare and tax breaks and studiously avoiding scrutinizing their dark money off-shore tax havens.

On this ID4, it is time for them to start acting like real American patriots and not the spoiled, indulged wards of the American economy.

I assumed twitter would go down hill after Musk’s take over, but didn’t imagine it would go this badly. It’s rampant with hate groups and pedophiles, it’s like a dystopian bot graveyard.

So they suggested the company was not being run sanely and the response was an invitation to a cage fight.

I wonder what Musk's co-investors think of all this. Let's hope it was all just spare cash they didn't really need.

MySpace and BlackBerry failed as companies because they made poor business decisions that didn't align with the direction the people wanted to go. Twitter will fail because the owner is clueless as to how to run something that was already working.

The former examples were sad examples of poor business management, while the latter is an example of ideological-based business management.

There has never been a right-wing SNS that has had any kind of success, and now we can see that trying to turn an existing network right wing results in failure as well.

The right-wingers haven't figured out that it's not because the deep state is against them, it's because they are negative morons dragging the rest of us down, an none of us want to interact with them. So they end up in their own little cesspool of incestuous hate.

Twitter is nothing but a Musk wreck. Nonmembers can no longer read Tweets.

If Meta's twitter app manages one day to get a decend amount of users, this would really mean that politics should stop worrying about personal data collection and creating regulations for the well-being of users that blatantly don't care/know about it. It could be a good test.

Everyone is scrambling to wedge in twitters downfall. It’s definitely not going to be meta. People were already done when it was still Facebook and the rebrand didn’t bring people back, neither will a new feature.

similar for instagram and more. Their audience is there already, it’s unlikely to draw in new ones aside from a new hot app separate from established ones

I'm inclined to agree.

I have no idea what will fill the space, but I just don't see people switching to FaceBook for a microblogging experience.

ALIEN vs. PREDATOR

This story does not reflect reality. Twitter is on record numbers of 'registered' users. Activity is also at all time high.

I personally find that non-political discussions have gotten a lot more productive as well, no one is affraid of being cancelled just for saying things like 'Indian code is full of bugs and backdoors'.

A friend of mine got his account suspended because he was complaining about covid lockdown.

Twitter is functional now, thanks Elon.

Oh, that must be translating to record profits then! I haven't actually looked though, please tell us, how successful is Twitter since Musk took over, how many tens of percentages have profits increased?

I never tied profit to function. That's Elon's problem, not mine.

And by that measure, it’s a complete failure. Socialism even; it’s people are getting something and Musk isn’t profiting.

And out of curiosity, how long do you think musk and other investors will be willing to run this so called functional site if it’s costing them billions?

...good for you, I'm not at all curious about someone else's financial matters. But don't forget there are countless non-profit media outlets right through the globe.

I do not like either man, mainly because Musk is a known racist and hates any people who are not white. This is a fact!! As for Zuckerberg, I hope he does open a rival for twitless, and I think it will be better from day one. Mind, I still would not join it, I have no media accounts and never have.

So, is this an ad for Meta's thing I didn't even knew about until I read this article?

It its rumoured that these two Musk and The Zucker are going to met up in the Octagon for a Three round MMA fight latter this year in Los Vegas . The Zucker has being in training for a least 2 years in Jujitsu and Musk nil training. It will be a huge specular. Musk is 2.0m + and and unfit while Zucker is 1.75 m fit and known some Jujitsu. My money is on Musk with take down ground and pound stoppage early second round.

I told you before..

Elon is ruining Twitter..

...and good for you as well. However, I was pointing it out to show that Musk is a failure at running Twitter, whereas you seemed to be claiming he was doing a good job.

Is Elon Musk the very definition of the accidental billionaire?

$44 billion?

Then to fire thousands of employees, is beyond any rational plan to identify and then service a basic target market.

This is day one at any MBA, the very basic learning for the aspirating business professional's theoretical and practical training.

Nature and circumstance, what creates an opportunity resulting in a Zuckerberg, Musk, Bezos, Buffett, Gates etc.

At the moment of birth does fortune define our future?

Daddy owns a company mummy drives a car?

That so called first step up the ladder?

Council estate vs suburbia?

I know for a fact in my life opportunity is luck more than judgement, with all the qualifications the world has to offer. At one time of another I have stood on the shoulders of others.

Which still brings us back to the beginning Zuckerberg, Musk, Bezos, Buffett, Gates?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

No fan of either, but at least Zuckerberg is competent.

I always find it hilarious when the Musk apologists claim to me that it doesn't matter to him how much money he loses on Twitter, as long as he is "sticking it to the Libs". Uh, yeah. Any billionaire who thinks like that won't be a billionaire for long.

Myself, the only thing I use Twitter for these days is posting my YouTube channel videos. And any posts I see when doing so are usually toadies like Gym Jordan and Ted Nugent comparing Democrats to pedos (which is chuckle-worthy, considering how he got one of his uh, YOUNG wives).

...and good for you as well. However, I was pointing it out to show that Musk is a failure at running Twitter, whereas you seemed to be claiming he was doing a good job.

For the avoidance of doubt. My perception of twitter is grounded in how it operates, which is miles ahead under Musk.

As for financial performance, I was an investor in a fund that held TWTR, the bad news was relentless, it was burning investor funds like there was no tomorrow, now it's burning Musk's funds. Why would I care?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Watching these two entitled narcissists duke it out is like watching 2 gangsters fighting.

You kind of hope they eliminate each other.

That said, if I had to choose the lesser of the 2 evils, I’d go with Zuck.

St. Elon has clear drunk the koolaide.

Buggy and always changing but not in a good way?

As for financial performance, I was an investor in a fund that held TWTR, the bad news was relentless, it was burning investor funds like there was no tomorrow, now it's burning Musk's funds. Why would I care?

Huh? What about the people who directly invested billions with Musk to buy it, do you think they will agree?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

That’s only show for the public and masses. Of course they are both successful businesspeople enough to know that there’s plenty and more than enough fish in the ocean for both and that the most important marketing trick is to be always present in the news and headlines, regardless if they are good or bad. In doubt even something completely different, like that cage fight, is arranged, of course also intended to serve both sides, with only a faked bitter rivalry.

...evidently, they are happy for Musk to continue to fix the platform. But again, none of my business what investors or Musk do with their money. I just want a good functioning site that reflects the freedom afforded to me by the countries I live in.
