It’s just another summer in Honshu, folks. Dangerous heavy rains possible in the first half of July. Baking hot north and south of the tsuyu line. And then everybody calmly sweltering in the last half of July. That’s Japan, with or without climate change.

And June - contrary to traditional complaining - a rather pleasant month. Remember it?

People have short memories. This basically happens every year for two or three decades now. Kanto heats up early and mid-July. Heat then centers strongest in western Japan late July and August.

And hourly rainfall in Kurume does not show 402 mm. of rain. Less, and scattered over a long time period rather than a torrential fall of rain. Actually Asakura had heavier rain. By the way, Asakura was in the northern Kyushu rain disaster of 2017 ( July of course). In that event 566 mm. of rain fell. And there may have been other similarly heavy or heavier rains in the past.

So, 402 mm. heaviest rain ever? Not at all. This is Japan in the tsuyu ( which is worst in July, NOT June). Basically, just another year.

That would have importance after you prove they are wrong using scientific arguments, but just pretending they are in a conspiracy to foold the public without having any evidence to prove it is worthless, it would be as valid as pretending there is a conspiracy of people organized for the sole purpose of refuting scientific knowledge about weather purely for personal profit. No evidence? then no value on the accusation.
