They should be charged with animal abuse, if such a thing is recognised in Japan.

I kinda agree with Wandora! I’ve never been to these pet cafes or petting zoos but I just feel like there must be too much attention for the animals.

Keeping such animals inside is abuse.

Our goats are only inside if there is strong wind, rain, or snow.

And they are always happy to get back outside.

would these two like people non stop petting them the whole day? mentally and physically abused.

should put them in jail.

Japan has very relaxed laws on animal cruelty because it would be hard to maintain all those animal parks, pet stores, aquariums, zoos, and food processing facilities.

There is a reason Japan refuses to join all these international organizations because they are violating all of these internationally accepted rules.

Zero respect for the animals as is usual in Japan! All these people see is yen to be made but the poor animals just have to put up with it!

The fastest way to make change happen in Japan is for more foreigners to get involved. As soon as Japan realizes that foreigners are doing they will immediately pass stricter laws.

Wonder what that pigeon's thinking?

Alpaca, like most animals, should be given the choice as to when they want to approach us.

I once suggested a gaijin petting area in the eikaiwa I was working in.

Didn't get official approval.

LOL its like being a Gaijin in Japan. Non stop petting and being looked at and it feels aweful at times. I wonder what the ANIMALS feel like?

Animal cafes should be illegal. I can't even fathom the stress and duress those poor animals are under having people be constantly all up in their grill. And keeping these alpacas indoors? It's animal abuse.

I hope they cleared up after their animals, probably needed something a bit larger than the usual doggy poo bag!

Alpacas spit at speed.

It is seriously unpleasant, my uncle on a day out perusing visiting a zoo, came into contact with a number of Alpacas.

Gross is a understatement, honestly it is not a gobbing that can be wiped away with a tissue.

Apparently Alpacas spit for various reasons, such as food competitiveness, self-defense...

Sit down for the next bite sized reveal.

Love rivalry, oh yes a female harassed by an eager male, human or otherwise,

its the smell odor. You understand.

That 1,000 yen for 30 minutes petting could invoke a natural defense mechanism.

Wear a mac.

Alpacas kick too.

A short hard back heel at will make your eyes water.

Still I am sure alpacas Akane and Satsuki are friendly and house trained
