Yeah because a surplus of "diversity" has really helped the nations where it's been artificially enforced.

Nice quote about diversity, who said that? Japan?

Nothing will change in Japan, especially diversity, maybe small change, no more than that.

That is NEVER going to happen in Japan

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, speaking after visiting a winery in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, where he saw disabled people working.

Been there MANY years ago. Its a wonderful place with wonderful people working there. Ashikaga is a really nice place with lovely people. I'd love to visit there again and support those people again.

But the idea that anyone here will strive to create a society that respects diversity and a society in which everyone can maximize their potential is a pipe dream.

After all, what is one very famous Japanese proverb?

出る杭は打たれる The nail that sticks out is hit.

Sounds just like another retarded quote from Abe.

Disabled is just a characteristic. Disabled can do anything. No limit.

It would be nice. Sadly there is no such society on Earth, though it would be the goal of every conscious society. Most societies are run for a minority. The rest are impaired by the ideology the minority has spun for them and will never reach their potential. Any change would have to start with education and media promoting critical thought. But that is incompatible with having people's aims as part of someone else's agenda.

The PM visits a winery and all we get are platitudes?

Diversity? Here? Hah.

The day that happens is the day I open a shop selling lit fireworks on the deck of a sunken ship.

Diversity is not a strength.

Diversity is not a strength

Acording to experts in psycology, sociology, anthropology, etc. it is, and they have very solid arguments and evidence to support this conclusion.

What arguments and evidence do you have to contradict them?

In Japan? Where xenophobia is alive and well, where conformity is all but demanded, and where people with mental and / or physical disabilities are looked down on? Yeah, good luck with that. Kishida is dreaming.

How about keep Japan the way it is

Even when knowing ways to improve it significantly? What would be the point of that?

How about keep Japan the way it is

Because the elder apocalypse won't go away on its own? Because tourists and green card holders reasonably expect to be treated with dignity?

you live here as I guess, you obviously like it here.

So why change things?

That is a terribly bad argument, people can like things and still work to improve them, liking something do not mean considering it perfect, specially when terribly obvious ways to improve are already available.

As Japan becomes an old folks home the proportion of foreigners you will see on the streets will go through the roof. With numbers will come further demands for respect. Hope that doesn't bother you too much.

With numbers will come further demands for respect

Respect is earned. Not a God given right by virtue of being an unwashed tourist.
